I like this little clock and it is neat to have the different color lights. It is bright enough to make a good nightlight and you can clearly see the time in light or dark rooms. It is very easy to set alarms, turn off alarms, and set the time. I don't understand the negative reviews on that...it is VERY intuitive and easy to use. Alarm goes off and gets progressively louder and louder; however, the full volume isn't as loud as some other alarm clocks. It works fine for me, but super deep sleepers may not wake up to it. This is a fun, easy to use alarm clock with lots of great features for a child's room. The 'night light' feature and 'sleep sounds' are great for younger children's rooms and are both customizable enough to enable a just-right fit for your child. Both the large, easy to read, time display and the night light are adjustable in both color and brightness to suit the pickiest little sleeper. For older children there are two programmable alarms allowing for school days or weekend days; each alarm allows for further customization if necessary, for example a M-W-F and Tu-Th schedule. The snooze button is easy to find with bleary eyes as are each alarm shutoff buttons. Personally one of my favorite features is the color changing display though static colors can be chosen as well. Because there are so many features I found that I needed to regularly refer back to the device instructions which are clear and concise. I would appreciate the ability to download my own 'wake up' song and because of that I've deducted a star. I'm going to miss this clock when it moves on to my nephew as a Christmas present. This is a great digital time alarm clock. I got the blue lighted digital one. digital time size is really large so very easy to read when I placed this on my entertainment center. top of the clock is the night light, press once to turn it on, keep pressing it to see different colors you can choose, once you go through all the color s, last press turns it off. All control buttons are on the back, + and - sign in the back adjust brightness of the night light as well as the digital time light. I love that you can make the time much brighter if you like then dim it all the down to completely invisible. I wouldn't recommend for bedroom if you're someone that needs dark room to sleep which is me. Large time display would be too much for me to go to sleep. But in living room it is perfect.
