I’ve been working in and around pools my whole life. Never had a problem with defoamer in a hot tub ever, but I just spent the day draining, cleaning and refilling mine because of this product. It uses an oily substance to cut the foam and the oil lingers on the surface, preventing normal chemical processes from taking place. My tub was cloudy and felt dirty and this became worse with each use of the product until I had no choice but to drain and refill. It was also very ineffective. I used it nearly every time we used the tub because the foam was out of control if I didn’t. I’m back to the tried and true. Don’t spend money on this. ... show more
