I've been struggling to find a peacoat that fits me just right. They're always either just slightly too tight in the shoulder area, or way too big. I ordered the XL and I have to sing the praises. Not tight, but definitely not too big. This coat is absolutely beautiful. It may not be super heavy, but I'm confident with a little layering it'll be plenty toasty for my trip to Scotland. It's extremely stylish, but can be versatile for dressing up or even down. The quality is simply outstanding. I was on the fence before because it seemed to fit very straight in the waist and bulky however it turned out to be my favorite jacket this winter and I wear it daily. I ordered L and it fits beautifully however it buttons weird and I don’t like it buttoned but I just keep it unbuttoned and hold it tight when I walk and the wind blows other than that it looks beautiful when unbuttoned. It really keeps you warm and protects from wind. I’ve been wearing it all winter (in DC) looks classy and high end. I also washed it in the washer and it holds up well. Purchased this coat in a M, I’m 5’5”, 150 lbs and it fits perfect. I was surprised at the quality of the coat. It doesn’t look cheap, it’s heavy enough to keep me warm and it looks elegant. Only downside is the lining inside looks a little low quality but other than that I love it.

The reviews are all over the board which makes it harder to decide on purchasing and getting the correct size. A medium was recommended based on my previous purchases, but when it arrived it was snug. I could button it, but it was very tight. Some reviewers said this is oversized. IT WAS NOT OVERSIZED. I had to get a Large and that was a perfect fit. I would suggest going up a size from the recommendation. You don’t want a winter coat to fit like a skin tight dress. You want to be able to move freely and have the option of wearing a sweater underneath. It looks great! I am getting it in 2 colors. The price is right. I will get them dry cleaned, since they arrived folded. They do not look cheap. This is one you will just have to try for yourself and not listen to some of the reviews. I am glad I tried it. The jacket is pretty thick and seems like it would be warm. The color is nice, and the length is exactly what I was looking for. But it runs pretty big. It bulges pretty bad in the lower back, and the arms just look wrong. I do like that it wasn't tight on my shoulders and the arm length was also long enough. Will be returning for a small. I have a wool coat from the 1950s that is very heavy. This coat will work just as well, I think, but it's much lighter weight, thank goodness. Very comfortable and stylish! I had bought this coat to replace my old dressy winter coat. I had first bought this in a large. It fit ok, but I did not have a sweater on when I had tried on this coat. So I sent this one back and purchased a size up and it will work much better. The color is beautiful. It is also lined.
