The sizing should be right but this item fits a little large for me. The belt goes past the edge to not fully secure but still holds well enough. The support does seem good and I do like the large area it covers, if only it fit better so I could get a bit more compression.

He has a little bit of a belly and he says that the brace applies pressure all the way around his waist rather than support of his back for heavy lifting.
