The all-new Honda EU2200i inverter generator offers tremendous value to users, delivering 10 percent more power (200 watts) than the outgoing EU2000i model, the company's most popular portable model for the same price. The heart of the additional power the new generator delivers is the Honda GXR120 engine. With more power, better performance and improved ease of use and maintenance, the all-new Honda EU2200i is the perfect choice for consumers to power what they need for work, home or play. The all-new Honda EU2200i Companion model can parallel to either another EU2200i or the existing Honda EU2000i K1/T1 models. The EU2200i Companion model deletes the 12V DC outlet, and instead of the 20A 125V Duplex Outlet, is equipped with a 30A 125V locking plug and 20A 125V single outlet. For doubling the power using multiple outlets the molded cables and connectors will provide the user with easy installation on two identical models.

These units are great. I looked at just one unit with similar output but it weighed 140 pounds. Each of these only weighs 46 pounds so I can handle them much easier. Bought them to use at our hunting cabin and by chance tried to use a welder with them hooked up together with the 30 amp plug in and reduced to 20 amp with a connection I had and it worked great.     • Easy to start, quiet, great fuel economy and great output. Clean inverter power.
I love these generators so far. I have used them 3 times and they crank super easy, and are very quiet. I got the parallel cable hooked up and it works great. I will install the extended run caps later. I had to get these because my old one is a 19hp engine model and is heavy, burns a lot of gas, also to heavy to move around like these. Also have the clean inverter power. I have to use a ups with my old one because of dirty power from it. Old one works great for heavy load items though, not sensative integrated computer items. ... show more

    • Check if you need a neutral bonding plug
These are a great pair for RV use; they are easy to load in my tow vehicle and have the 30amp capability (needed in my case to run a single AC unit while boondocking). I think one improvement on the parallel connections is needed - get rid of the ground screw and put something like a thumbscrew for that connection so I don't need to get out a screwdriver every time I hook up the parallel cables. I am good with the parallel cable connections being labeled L and R but if you want to make it idiot-proof (or prevent incorrect connection when hooking up in dark conditions), Honda should make the shape of the connections different so you can't put the Left connector in the Right connection. For those of you who are going to want to use these generators for your RV, you should also pick up a Neutral Grounding Plug to insert in the 115VAC outlet on the companion generator if needed. These generators have a floating neutral and RV smart Electrical Management Systems or surge protectors see this as fault since a floating neutral on pedestal power is bad and the system or protector cannot distinguish between pedestal and generator power. If you’re powering a single RV that doesn’t have any sort of Electrical Management System or surge protector, then the RV’s electrical system doesn’t know or care and you are fine without the neutral bonding plug. ... show more

This product is excellent above my expectations light Weight very portable very easy to start I am very satisfied with this generator. I have had other generators this one is super quiet. And when you parallel the two EU2200i generators together it is very powerful. I give it 10 out of 10. You can spend less but you will get less quality than Honda Well worth the extra money. ... show more

    • Worth the money!
Purchased to replace Harbor Freight Predator 3500 generator that quit after 18 months. LOVE these Hondas. Run our AC on our RV Trailer with no problem. They start easily and run well. Only complaint is nosier than the Predator. However, small price to pay for the dependability.

I could not lift a singIe generator capable of powering my 15,000 BTU air conditioner. I chose to purchase the companion pair of Honda 2200's because I can lift these generators into my pickup. They are relatively quiet and they easily run the air conditioner. I couldn't be happier.

2 generators for practically the price of 1! Great!! Wanted these to power the RV and they do a fantastic job. Very quiet and can run the AC without issue.     • Quiet and efficient
I have had a Honda 1000 for years. It runs everything in my travel trailer except microwave and air. These 2200 generators I can lift and hooked together, I now can run everything! Quiet and easy to start. Love Honda generators. Worth the money.
