This is a great product so far! It came when it was supposed to and included all the parts. I wish it came with the seeds shown in photos or any seeds for that matter. I hate the instructions! The Honche is really easy to use, and getting started is easier. I've dropped dried seeds right into the sponge and all my herbs are growing. The app is nice, but could stand to have a feature that organizes which herbs are in which planter. I did it on paper, old school, instead. Everything I've planted has taken 4-7 days to pop up. A bit quicker if I poke the hole out of the light blocker and mist everything a couple times a day. The Honche has taken the tedium out of growing herbs indoors. I was happy to receive this. I’m excited to watch everything grow from seed to plant. I know I will love it in the winter. The single negative I would say if it came with some seeds to start. the app is cool, you can set the time and type of plants you’re growing.

I like that the set includes everything minus the seeds to get you started. The directions are easy to follow but could be improved with more details. I'm not a beginner gardener but it would be useful for someone who doesn't understand how this works to have it explained more fully. I love that it contains the nutrients needed so I didn't have to research that and buy something else. I also think the light timer is very helpful, but the pump turns off at the same time. Also, I had to set an alarm to remember to set it for early morning instead of in the afternoon when I was setting it up. It's supposed to have different color lights, but I have the white full spectrum and no others. This makes the plant option buttons useless. The sponge box is handy as it can be difficult to get seeds started in hydroponics units. Overall, a solid four. ... show more

I have an outdoor vegetable garden, but also wanted to be able to grow vegetables during the colder months. So I was excited to try this Honche Hydroponics Growing System. It comes with fairly good instructions, and a seed box with sponges to get the seeds started, as shown in the first photo. Then after they sprout, you transfer the sponges to the hydroponics system. It contains 2 different liquid fertilizers and a pump to self-water. The light was hard to adjust the first time. I thought I was going to break it, but found out it was just stuck. After the first time, it moved up and down more easily. The light is very bright for me, as I'm quite sensitive to light and noise, so I have to wear my sunglasses when I'm next to it. Also, because of the photos on Amazon’s website, I thought the light would be a purple color, but it's white. I keep the grow system in the basement, so I don't have the bright light, and noise from the pump bothering me. So far, I really like this product. It's been easy to use, and fun to watch how fast the seeds have sprouted. I planted different types of lettuce, and all of the seeds have sprouted, and are growing well. This hydroponic garden is surprisingly good, especially considering its affordable price. While it may not be as fancy as some other options out there, its low cost is definitely a plus. One thing I really like about it is that it doesn't require any Wi-Fi or app connectivity, which can sometimes become outdated and unsupported. My only complaint is that the color of the lights is not as advertised. Instead of the purple light that I was expecting, the lights emit white light. This was a bit disappointing, as I was specifically interested in the purple light. However, I must say that the instructions provided are very detailed, and the overall build quality is decent. All things considered, I believe this product deserves a solid 4-star rating for its $40 price point. ... show more
