These have been marketed as what you need to connect your GlowForge to a 6” inline fan to improve ventilation. HOWEVER The 4” end is neither large enough to fit over the glowforge 4” output nor small enough to fit inside the exhaust port, leaving you no way to actually connect it to your GlowForge. This product seems to be for for PVC plumbing pipe or another purpose, not for ventilation or dust collection. The 6-inch end will fit appropriately INTO ventilation flex-duct. However, neither the 6-inch nor the 8-inch end will fit into or over a filter, and the 8-inch end will not fit over a CanFan, or Hyperfan. Unless you are using this for a ventilation system constructed with PVC plumbing pipe, look elsewhere. The title and description are somewhat misleading.     • Prepare to tape it if you’re fitting either end over something

Works great for adapting an AC Infinity T6 to use 4” flexible duct. I had to use gaffer tape to secure it since it’s rigid plastic and can’t be clamped onto anything, but flexible duct clamps fine OVER it. Makes sense if you think about it. Visually much more appealing than the cheap metal ones, provides maybe a tiny bit of sound and heat insulation for duct fans, and won’t rust. ... show more

    • Designed for inside fit 4” and 6” vent pipe.
Size: 6" to 4"
purchased to expand 4” pipe connection to 6” vent pipe. Connector would not fit over 4” opening. Designed to be internal connection for vent pipe which would have worked well. Was able to cut piece to force over existing pipe to accomplish task.
