We bought this A/C unit during the summer that the Pacific North West was experiencing a heat dome of 90 degrees, but unfortunately we did not buy it in time to have it for that awful unpleasantness. But it has been lovely ever since! It works great, it gets stored in the garage during the colder months, and we've had it for 3 years now without any issues. No support bracket needed for ours because our window closes downward and keeps the unit locked in place. But we do have a small wooden table outside the window underneath it in case someone were to open the window and the unit were to fall out (since it is heavy.) Someone mentioned an issue with the airflow. One thing to note is there's an "Eco" mode which is automatically set when you turn on the unit, so that means the cold air will turn off after a few minutes. Just press the Eco button (top middle button under the display) to turn off Eco mode. I hate that the font on that button is a light green color because it's really hard to see/read green font on a gray background. Whoever thought up that combo was not very kind. ... show more

This unit took me a while to install. Had to figure out that this 15000 btu unit would need more juice. Plugged into a 20amp breaker. Works amazing. Keeps our room cold 12x10ft room. Blasts cold air and makes the room cold within minutes. Eco mode does shut off the AC and also switches to fan mode. Happy with this AC unit. Also for the size of the room this is AC unit was overkill but love a cold room. Will update later on how long it has lasted me. ... show more

Got this in 8K BTU for the living room and performing as expected. This unit, along with a smaller 5K BTU for the bedroom is all we need to get by till we replace our central system for some ductless units. Thanks!

It's one of the best purchases I made for the summer. It's a little machine with a lot of punch. In less than five minutes is all it takes for my bedroom to hit the point of freezing. I'm so glad o brought this.
