Tried to use the app with the wall unit that had no screen. Supposed to be 40 amp but was 32amp, So I connected with the app and it said no bluetooth activated on the unit I purchased, Then said to call to turn bluetooth on, call who there was no phone number.     • Much faster than my Level 1/2 15 Amp charger
I was looking for a different charger for my new EV6 since the earlier Level 1/2 charger charges really slowly at less than 2 kW (takes over 24 hours to get a full charge) and with this charger, I could get up to 7.8 kW which is almost a 4X improvement which makes sense since this is a 40 Amp charger. I tried this at a friend's home since I do not have a 240V outlet set up yet at home. I plan to upgrade my power outlet soon so I can use this 40 Amp Level 2 charger. I have yet to use the smart card to allow charging but since I plan to install it in my garage, this should not be a problem. ... show more

    • 40 Amp charger that’s a bit more basic, but functional with thicker, 26ft cables and app controls.
The Smart Electric Vehicle Charger by Twobarrels, is a simple and effective way to get a fairly high amount of charge at home. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. • The quality of this unit is decent, but not exceptional or even above average. I’d put it in the middle level of the quality scale for EV chargers. • The performance is good overall with the ability to charge at 40 Amps, which is on the higher end of the scale for home chargers currently. I have some that will charge at 50 Amps, but they are less common. You can either use the app to control the unit or an RFID card. You can access the app from the website or QR code in the video that’s on this ad. • The cables are thick and long at 26ft, which is on the longer end of available cables currently. It also comes with a wall dock for the charging end when not in use. • I wish that all the controls weren’t through the app, making this charger so reliant on it. It doesn’t have any buttons to adjust charge rate or set a timer, but you can still plug it in and it’ll charge. However, in my case that doesn’t really matter, because I can control all that through my Tesla itself and don’t need the charger to be able to do it. Overall, this is a very simple and effective way to charge a EV at home at up to 40 Amps without any extra features or the cost that is usually associated with them. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.     • Didn’t work.
This would charge the car… but if it’s not plugged into the car it co Stanton beeps and flashes red. Sooo obviously something was wrong and when I asked for tech support they just said to send it back.So went with a grizzly charger instead and haven’t had a problem since.

Seems to be a good product, better than expected with the glass panel. Not installed yet, wait to see. --- Box was installed today, and it works very well. The charger worked with the card, and the charging current is at 40A as described. very good product.
