Put this together for my almost 7 year old son on a Saturday morning. Took about 2 hours and was very straight forward. All the parts and corresponding hardware was well labeled. The bed is not as study as a traditional bunked due to the futon bottom and lack for secondary support bars in back to make space to transform the futon to bed. Top bunk is great with high guard rails all around making it very safe for my son. And he loves that his bed is basically a transformer for sleepovers. This is not a perfect bed by any stretch of the imagination and quality is good but not great. This bed looks great in my kids room. It's a space saver, sturdy and easy to assemble. It took me about 6 hrs to do it myself. I only needed my man to help get it from off the ground into standing position. Bought for my ten year old and he loves it. He is very hard on furnature and it has withstood his wrath thusfar. It was very time consuming to assemble but worth the time in the end to see his face light up when it was finished. We have had a few bolts come loose and we had to go back and tighten them back down but other wise fairly sturdy. I never leave reviews. But the quality of this bed exceeds expectations, as far as a metal bed purchased online goes. It will legitimately take you 3 hours to assemble because there are so many bolts/pieces. Everything was packaged very carefully, there were written instructions in addition to the pictures. Update: After I reached out to the seller, I was notified that there was a 2nd box! That box came a few days later. Set up was a little annoying, but not hard. The bed is sturdy. My son loves his new bed. I finally received my son's bed today, after waiting a few more days due to a shipping delay. This was easy to assemble, only place I needed my hubby’s help was the darn grey clips that go on top of the top bars to hold them into place, for some reason I was struggling clicking them in! But other then that it all went pretty quick! Daughter slept on it last night and so far so good!

Great bunk bed the only issue the kids have with it is the rails near the ladder. The top of the ladder has rails making the person have to climb over rails to get in or out of the top bunk. They complain it hurts or it is difficult (boys said it hurts). The rings on the ladder are small and do hurt their feet also.
