Features

  • Highly Accurate Wind Meter- Thanks to the sensitive dual temp sensors, 8 vanes, smooth fan shaft, the HoldPeak 866B Anemometer can accurately detect wind speed, wind chill and temp. And this digital anemometer has a wind speed measurement range of 0.67~67.1 mph(+/- 2% of readings), Which can help you monitor wind conditions in real time.
  • Professional & Multifunctional - This Pro wind speed meter has functions such as: unit switching of wind speed(m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph) and wind temp(C,F), Max/Min/Average Wind Speed, battery level display, auto off, backlight, etc. Which can meet various measuring demands.
  • With Tripod & Hand Strap - Our handheld anemometer set includes a tripod that allows you to free your hands while measuring. It also comes with a hand strap, which prevents it from being dropped or lost. This ensures every shooting, sailing, or drone flying safer and more enjoyable.
  • Wide Applications - This handheld wind meter is ideal for outdoor activities like surfing, drone flying, kite flying, boating, golf, etc. And it is sensitive to measure very low air flow in HVAC installation, duct vent. Which can be a good helper in CFM calculation. You can simply calculate the CFM: Air Flow in CFM =Wind speed x Duct Cross Sectional Area.
  • What's in the Box - 1x HoldPeak 866B Digital Anemometer, 1x Smalll Tripod, 2x AAA Batteries, 1x User Manual, 1x Carry Pouch, 1xScrewdriver. HoldPeak Wind Speed Meter comes with a 2-year after-sale service and lifetime technical support. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns.

  • When you need it, you need it.
Color: 866B-APP( APP Connect ) + 4-stages tripod
As a trained storm spotter I got this to monitor wind as storms approach. The tripod and Blu-tooth seemed to be a great Idea. I envisioned setting it up and staying in shelter to monitor. The tripod is too light duty to stand up to storm produced winds...even in clear wx we can have 30 mph winds. Accuracy, Blu-tooth, functions all are great. ... show more

  • Works fine
Color: 866B Anemometer + 981C Thermometer(58-10...
I initially was shopping for a Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer. When I came across this package deal, I jumped on it. I needed a thermometer to check the temperature of a playground surface that has synthetic grass. I have been using it for about two weeks. The thermometer works fine for my needs. I do not need pinpoint accuracy but when I compared it to a Fluke 61 thermometer, the readings were spot on. It is easy to operate and I have no problems reading the screen while outside. The only slight downside compared to the Fluke 61 is the brightness of the laser while using it outside. The laser “red spot” is smaller with the HOLDPEAK. Then again, the Fluke 61 will cost you anywhere between $150- $200. I have yet to have an opportunity to try out the anemometer. I’m hoping/trusting that HOLDPEAK used the same quality workmanship with the anemometer as they did with the thermometer. ... show more

  • It is JUNK!
Color: 866B(with tripod)
What did I like? How would I know?? Neither the original nor the replacement worked. What I didn’t like is ordering JUNK!!!!! Having to go to the trouble to return the JUNK just adds to what I don’t like. DO NOT BUY!! Generously gave 1 star because it wouldn’t let me give 0.

  • Anemometer good, thermometer temperamental, possible electromagnetic sensitivity.
Color: 866B(with tripod)
I have used the HP-866B for almost 3 years now. The anemometer works well - I had someone drive me down the road at 30 mph and that's what the gauge read. The thermometer however has to be used in a certain way to give reasonably accurate readings. Since the temperature sensor reads the temperature inside of one the holes in the case through which air passes, you need to normalize the temperature of the unit to the ambient air before you can get an accurate reading. If you have kept the unit in your pocket or in a backpack, the temperature of the case is probably going to be different than the air outside of the unit, and it won't read the true temperature of the air. It's even worse if the unit has been sitting in the sun. Normalizing the unit's temperature to the outside air can take up to 30 minutes. Another issue is that this unit may be susceptible to damage by electromagnetic currents. Today (May 1, 2023) I was using this unit outside with no problems at first. Once the sun came out, I found a place to set it out of the sunlight, which happened to be on top of an electric connection box that had a power company's electric meter attached to it, all mounted on a telephone pole. When I tried to turn on the HP-866B about 45 minutes later, nothing happened - no display. I swapped the batteries with a backup pair, and still no power. I checked the batteries with a multimeter when I got home and both sets of batteries were fine (1.50V +). I also opened up the case and all of the internal power wires were still connected. My assumption was that the electrical connection box was putting out a strong electromagnetic field that damaged the microprocessor or another chip inside the HP-866B. In the future, I will be more cautious about where I place whatever anemometer I purchase as its replacement.. ... show more
