The bookshelf as a whole is a steal for the price, when it comes to Amazon purchases, you really do get what you pay for. Assembly wasn't very difficult, however, the instructions that come with the package can become very confusing. I did have to un-assemble some of the pieces a few times because of them needed to be moved or turned around. Besides the confusing instructions (that also very well could have been operator error) It is a great bookshelf, very sturdy, holds a fair number of books (not adequate for readers looking for large amounts of storage on one shelf). I can’t get over how cute this book tree is! I’ve been trying to find fun and inventive ways to display all of my books around my home, and this stand fit perfectly in my living room aesthetic! The color of the book tree is gorgeous, I got Rustic Brown. It’s very easy to put together, but I did have to take it apart twice because the first couple of pieces I put in, the instructions didn’t easily explain which way the tiers were supposed to be put on. BE CAREFUL when you do this! Otherwise, the book tree is very solid and sturdy, enough that in the picture attached we did NOT screw it to the wall. I love this bookshelf tree. It takes up little floor space and holds a lot. We did not use the wall-mount. My daughter is 16 and is in no danger of tipping or climbing it. It is very sturdy. The instructions were a little difficult to understand. I would screw in the screws to only have to back them out again, due to the unclear assembly. I don't write a lot of reviews but I like this product's assembly. I ordered back in May and finally took time to assemble. ADHD might come to mind. Instructions are pictures. You need an electric drill. It does come with a tool, but there are around 40 long screws, to say my wrist hurts is an understatement. It did not come with a phillips screwdriver and you need one for a half dozen phillips screws. The sturdiness is good, but the height is shorter than I thought. It would be really cute for a kid shelf. The shelf comes with wall screw to teether so kids don't pull it on to themselves. Overall only took about an hour of actual assembling, I may have put a few pieces backwards and had to redo. And if I knew where a drill was probably could have cut the time in half. And for being months in a box, the letter stickers came off fairly well although a little more effort went into removing the product label sticker. Overall even with the few blips still a nice shelf for my cookbooks. ... show more

This fits perfectly in a little corner in my room and looks exactly as pictured. I love it. Took about 45 minutes to assemble which included unboxing and watching the video. Then it was a matter of following the pictures in the manual and aligning the pieces correctly. I had to error correct twice but overall it wasn’t difficult. Ensure that you tighten screws halfway and then as evenly as possible especially if they’re on the same piece or in line with each other. For the small triangular piece (E), it was easier for me to attach it to D first because for some reason that piece did not seem as sturdy as the rest and the base of the triangle was disintegrating from the screws. The instructions for putting this book shelf together are horrible. The instructions have very small pictures, no written instructions, and if you don't pay attention to detail like a hawk, you will miss something and have to take it apart and reassemble it. Also, the holes don't always line up properly, so if you don't have a drill, this will be even more difficult to put together. The stickers they use to label each part, fall apart and make a sticky mess when you try to take them off. ... show more

Its holds a lot of books, I recommend adding heavier weight to the bottom of the bookshelf if you don’t want to screw anything into the wall. I get a lot of compliments on the bookshelf. I 100% recommend. I will say the wood is slightly like ikea material so don’t tighten the screws too hard or the wood will crack. But it definitely can hold weight and works well, and is aesthetic. ... show more
