I recently moved and found myself in need of some good blackout curtains. I deal with migraines that are often light sensitive and eye strain that can feel like a migraine so good blackout curtains are a must. I prefer the lighter colors which are more often than not, light reducing and not full fledged blackout. These perform wonderfully, I didn't realize my camera auto activated night time mode when I snapped pics but they do a really good job. I paired them with some silver amazon basics blackout curtain rods and couldn't be more satisfied. The material feels nice and has decent weight but nothing compared to "theatre grade" blackout curtains I've used in the past, the lighter material is a nice change. Wow. Perhaps the best amazon curtains I have purchased. The color slightly shimmers with a burnout abstract design. The color changes with light and time of day. My walls are Sea Salt by SW. (a pale blue-green with gray undertones) they offset it beautifully. So happy with these. Very heavy with a rubber type backing. Total blackout. Tossed in dryer for 15 min for wrinkles and hung them. My color tip is that these Ivory colors are not a "warm" creamy ivory. they are a "cool" soft green gray hues ivory. They are gorgeous! I ordered another pair as my bedding is sage green so the tint of these are fine for me. They are high quality fabric and the backing is white so thats nice for looks as well as keeping heat out...I dont like the black backing on some curtains. A Great tip is I had to iron them as they are such nice heavy material. BUT iron them with steam on the Backside not the front. I could not ge the wrinkles out until I tried ironing from the back. Then super easy..Some compaines use a weird "plastic foamy" backing but these are a nice cloth like backing. I highly recommed these curtains...I ordered the taupe which is that nice "warm" brownish tone but my room was so small I went with the ivory. ... show more

We have tried other locally purchased "room darkening" curtains. Turns out there is a big difference between room darkening and complete light blocking. These curtains are the latter. We see no light through these curtains at all, where as with two layers of room darkening curtains, we could still see light coming through. With a single layer of these curtains, the only light we see is coming around the edges, not through the curtain itself. If you're trying to block light, these will do the trick. ... show more
