They are sturdy, and very light blocking. I'd buy them again if I had other windows in the room. It is sumer in Tucson, AZ, and they make a big difference in temperature and light. The pic is a bit misleading. The huge window above the window doesn't have a way to hang curtains, so it is brighter in here than it would be if the top window could be covered. The set of curtains is very thick. BLACKOUT totally. It worth the money. Especially the color is very beautiful. But they are stiff, not flexible. If you like soft touch, they are not for you.

I was looking for the right dark teal curtains to go in my dining room and ended up ordering these. I love the colors and design, but when I hung them up they looked absolutely ridiculous. They were so stiff that the way they hung was awful. I started a return, but then decided to try washing them and drying them with fabric softener. It helped a ton! They look so much better, so I decided to keep them after all. They block light extremely well too. My husband got up in the morning and thought the power went out because it was so much darker than it normally was with our previous curtains lol!
