This is an excellent bike rack and very heavy duty, much beefier than others on the market. Their customer service is second to none. I have never received such great customer service from a company in a very long time. I have to say that if you’re looking for a heavy duty bike rack that fits two bikes comfortably, they can support up to 200 pounds and that you know will last long time, this is the bike rack to buy. The bikes sits securely, there’s no wobble, and you’re confident that the bikes are not going to fall off anytime soon while transporting them. I am impressed with the build quality of this rack. Very easy assembly (my wife did it). Only complaint I have is not with the company but who they use for shipping. Fed X took 7 days to deliver the last 15 miles to me stating every day of those 7 it was out for delivery by 8pm. Fed X is horrible around here. ... show more

    • Good Bike Rack, Good Service
I looked long and hard for a bike rack that would hold our two ebikes. They weigh about 85 pounds each. The "Young Electric Hitch 2-Bike with Ramp" was exactly what we needed. The rack holds up to 200 pounds. We received the rack within a reasonable amount of time. Assembly was a breeze. The rack is very sturdy and holds our bikes firmly. The included ramp made loading a breeze. We haven't taken the bikes for a long trip yet, though we did drive around town to see how the rack would handle. It handled great. The only issue we had was with a poor weld on the nut that's suppose to remove movement in the rack while transporting. The nut is spot welded in three places, though on this one only one of the welds attached the nut. The weld immediately broke upon screwing in the bolt that removes the movement. I contacted the seller through Amazon and quickly had a resolution. The company sent me a new lower unit at their cost. The weld on the new one is much better. All three spot welds were good. Replacing the lower unit was also very easy. I would highly recommend the Young Electric Hitch 2-Bike with Ramp. ... show more

    • A better mouse trap
IMO, this is the best single bike carriers for large fat tire e-bikes, and I assume their two bike model is just as good. It's rated for 100lbs and there's zero shifting or rocking. This carrier is well designed; the horizontal platform the bike rests on is aluminum and 4" wide, with a concave top that cuts down on weight. The front wheel holder is metal, not plastic, and cradles the tire nicely. The best feature is the vertical post, which is offset from center and pivots, so you can secure it via the horizontal bar or seat post of your bike. It's also far enough away to clear any mid-drive hub, sprocket and crank. My previous single bike carrier, I couldn't keep the bike centered in order to clear the bar, so the front of the bike stuck out 5"-6" beyond my truck. The bar fastener is also plenty wide and it pivots, to accommodate really wide bars, as some can be oval or triangular shaped, as well as varying angles. The only mod I made was adding nylon washers to the vertical tubing and horizontal platform connections, so the bolts could be tightened without having to bend the metal or avoiding unwanted wobbling. I essentially used just one for each connection where a bolt was used and secured the washer to the tubing with super glue, so they could be positioned without moving the washer. This doesn't deter my rating as it's my personal improvement but I had them on hand, and I probably didn't need any for the horizontal tube connection either. I didn't want to completely tighten down the vertical post either, so I could easily pivot the bar down so I can lower my tailgate without having to remove the carrier. ... show more

    • Perfect for step through bikes
Bought this to haul two HJM toury step through fat tire e-bikes. Assembly was quick and easy. Holds the bikes secure. The center bars latch onto the seat posts. They do not wiggle or move when transporting. I have the ramp but don’t use it. It’s easier to just lift the bikes onto the rack. This is the perfect rack for anyone that doesn’t want to strap onto the frame of their bike or has a step through where you can’t hook to the frame. I do take the batteries off to reduce weight during transport. And I added a curt plug in brake light kit to bypass the emergency braking of the car when in reverse. ... show more

This is just what I need to load and transport my electric bike. The bike weighs 84 lbs. without the battery so the ramp really helps. I have only used it once, but it was a very stable ride. It felt very secure during transport on both gravel and paved roads. The carton packing could have been done better. The ramp was loose in the box and knocked off a piece from another part. I was able to fix it. That is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. ... show more
