As with any active 1 year old, our grandson does make meal time a bit of a sport. He has been gaining weight so we know at least some of the food actually makes it into him. Thanks to the suction cups on the underside of these plates they actually stay in place(most of the time :) ). The material they use is soft and pliable making it easy to handle. Clean up is easy. My 11 month old can’t get them up. They’re pretty colors, super easy to clean by hand and stay put on her tray. Only negative is if they suction to counter or table while you’re prepping the food, you have a hard time picking up the full plate to bring it to baby without it spilling.
