  • Perfect Shape for New Self-Feeders
We love this bowl. Our little one just started self-feeding. He was having trouble getting "stuff" on his spoon. The conical shape of the interior of this bowl is perfect for creating a well of food that he can dip his spoon into. We also love these spoons and encourage you to select the bowl and spoon option. ... show more

  • Great for learning how to use a spoon
I bought this to help my daughter learn how to use a spoon. It's been extremely helpful. The angle of the bowl makes it very easy for her to dip the spoon into the food and then pull it out and bring it to her mouth. The conical shape of the bowl makes it easy to put a small amount of food in the bowl and still have a deep enough amount of food for her to effectively scoop some out. The bowl is very stable and doesn't move at all when she's using a spoon. Of course, she can pick it up and throw it on the ground if she wants to, as others have complained, but all babies are scientists and learning about gravity and consequences are important for their development, even when it's a bit of an inconvenience for their parents. Highly recommend this bowl! ... show more

  • Not tip-proof at all, but decent toddler bowl nonetheless
Meh. Don't for a second think your toddler isn't going to be able to tip/flip this bowl over. Mine figured it out within minutes his first use. But it is sturdier than some others we've tried.

  • Can't wait to use this with my 5 1/2 month old daughter!
We are preparing to start our daughter on food. I saw this product and from the description I figured this would assist her in trying food. (Wish me & hubby luck). Hoping to provide follow up...more to come!

  • which i think is a good thing so she can't dump or fling a ton ...
the bowl can slip and if your baby can pick it up it can definitely tip. however my daughter likes trying to get food out of it with her utensils. it doesn't hold a ton of food, which i think is a good thing so she can't dump or fling a ton out. its a better option then the glass bowls i normally use for myself, but not sure its any better than simpler plastic bowl. ... show more

  • Excellent bowls for teaching to eat!
This bowl has been outstanding! We use it with the dipping spoons for our 9 month old to practice feeding herself. She has been unable to flip it off her highchair and the food all slides and settles in the bottom for easy dipping. Truly a smart design! If it was cheaper we'd use these bowls exclusively. Wish the price point was a little lower. ... show more

  • Love the stability
Just got this bowl very early this morning. I am using it right now with my 15 month old daughter. I love the wider base. She is right now eating her fruit without wearing it...well okay, she is wearing some of it, because she dumped a whole bowl a fruit on herself while I was washing this Numnum bowl so we could use it. ... show more

  • Maybe just save your $ and begin with a regular bowl instead...
We're a little confused by the design in general. It doesn't hold much food, and seems to work best with a thick puree. Getting a bite of anything more irregular or chunky is difficult even for a more advanced spoon user (me included). The biggest problem is that a spoon will not rest inside the bowl- it tips over the side. A suction bottom would be a huge improvement to this bowl- it's not difficult for my little guy to pick this up and toss it, and it's solid enough to leave a nice dent in your floor. All of this combined seems to lead to more mess, and my son getting frustrated and reverting to using his hands. It could be that the bowl is better suited to a much younger baby who is just being introduced to solids, only needs a few bites, and doesn't have the strength, dexterity, and naughty inclination to chuck the bowl off the table. ... show more
