Just returned from our annual Michigan camping trip in multiple locations. It rained and stormed with wind gusts 30 mph at times during our trip. We are experienced campers and always put a tarp up above out tent, no rainfly unless it reaches the ground on all sides will be able to handle sustained rain or windy storms with some wet spots. We have used Coleman, Ozark trail tents before, this one was a little more lightweight than the other two but very well made. We only had a tiny quarter sized puddle in one corner after 16 hrs of rain in the side the tarp didn’t fully cover. The windows are completely waterproof as is the door. It should be noted that waterproof level is greatly impacted by whether this tent is on a level surface so no wrinkles in the floor or walls. It is very simple to set up, best with two people, took us 25 min the first time, 15 the second. It is 4 poles going in sleeves and one for the roof over the porch. It folds easily back into the ample tote bag it comes with. The tote bag is sturdy and the tent ends up much more compact than even my last 5 person tent. The rainfly is adequate, it makes the tent have lots circulation on those hot and sticky nights. There is no way 8 people could comfortably fit, I would say more like 4 adults and maybe 2 kids with all of your gear. If you only have sleeping things in the tent then maybe 8. We had a queen sized cot, two camping chairs, two tote bags of clothes, and four rubbermaid containers with plenty of floor space. There are several loops to hang lanterns from. Only two small wall pockets, which is the only thing i would change. I would buy this tent again. I chose the light blue and it really stood out where we were camping. We are in love with this tent. Purchased to use as a temporary structure to use our projector when our granddaughters come during weekends. It has held up to everything mother nature has thrown at it. Rain, wind, hail, it is still standing. This tent is large enough for a base camp. It has plenty of sleeping room and is perfect for glamping as well. Was not difficult to assemble but will require more than one person, if possible. Well worth our investment. It has 2 side mesh pockets inside the tent to store your cellphone, sunglasses or other small items if you need to while keeping all organized and within reach. All materials are of excellent quality, poles, stakes, the liner for the tent, the zippers open and closed very smoothly, excellent all the way, great quality and value. We took this tent to the Black Hills. There were a few heavy storms that rolled through and I couldn’t have been happier with how this tent held up. There was a little bit of water collected in the corners, but with the amount of rain and hail that we got, I was very impressed. I’ve purchased “waterproof” tents in the past that ruined my camping trips. I would highly recommend this one. You’ll definitely need two people to put this up, but it’s worth it. First day using this tent and there's a square shaped hole in the side. Sadly there is no patch kit included with this tent. I had purchased the Asurion protection plan (don't even bother purchasing that nonsense) and submitted a claim only to have it denied saying that the tent was still covered under the manufacturer's warranty. So I try to reach out to the manufacturer but the website Amazon provides is not the correct company. They had responded back and told me they don't even make tents. So I use the QR code found on the instructions that came with then tent... nope. Page comes up as an error. Even good ol' Google wasn't able to help me find the manufacturer for this tent. All I want is a patch kit for this thing- the temporary one we used on the fly from our blow up mattress isn't a permanent solution, and I think it's ridiculous that I'm not able to get any decent customer service on this product. Despite the fact that I actually really like the tent, this whole experience has been ruined by the inability to get any resolution for the gaping hole in the side of it. I'm extremely dissatisfied. *** I'm editing this review and giving 5 stars due to the customer service I received. After I posted my review, the correct seller (YZJ-Store) reached out to me directly and quickly resolved my issue. I'm very impressed with the concern they showed and the promptness with which they strived to make things right! One of the best quality tents out there! We recently went camping in a thunderstorm and it survived it all! It’s very cozy and spacious with windows to let in extra air. We have 6 people went together and still got good amount of space inside. I would 100 percent recommend this for any family trips!
