The mattress fills up pretty quickly with the pump and holds air. It fits in a Bronco Sport without any trouble and seems about as sturdy as any other air mattress. Bring able to fold it makes it more comfortable and convenient if it's just one person. I did have trouble getting it back into the bag, though. The cubes are a good idea to keep the mattress level. My seats don't fold perfectly flat with the cargo area and that definitely affected the comfort until I added some more padding under it, but that isn't the mattress's fault. I wasn't a fan of the color though. All the photos show a black mattress that would have been a match for my car, but I received a beige mattress. It does the job, but I would have ordered something else if I had known. ... show more

I was planing to buy brand mattress but decided to look here. This one has same features as brand name one but wayyyy cheaper. It has the cube to fill the empty space which is I think critical. I tried to put it in the car as a test and it worked perfect.

This is a well made air mattress that inflates easily and is very comfortable. It fit our Jeep Compass SUV - a smaller SUV... a bit tight but it fits. Have tried other brands and they leak after 1-2 uses... This one has a thicker material with a durable surface. If this lasts w/o leaking it deserves a 5 star rating. ... show more

I haven't spent a night on this thing yet, so this is really just a first impression and comment on car fit. First of all, this thing fits nicely in the back of a VW Golf Alltrack (see the picture). The wide part matches the backseat to the wheel well perfectly (both side to side and front to back). There's a couple of inches on either side of the skinny part between the wheels, and it sits right on the cargo area above the spare tire perfectly (still allowing access to the little storage areas on both sides). My other initial impressions are that the material is nice and heavy--not like a pool toy (which is how I've seen some of the other versions of this thing on Amazon described). The air ports are conveniently located to inflate and deflate from a center console outlet. Took less than 5min to set up and about the same to tear down. And it folds up very compactly in its carrying case. So in terms of logistics, the thing is perfect for my needs. Like I said, I haven't spent a night on it yet, and that will be the real test. But with a heavy comforter on top for some additional padding below my sleeping bag, I have to say it was pretty comfortable to lie down on. VW seats don't fold down perfectly flat, which was a slight concern for me. But I didn't notice that when lying on the thing. I may look at getting a couple of squishy yoga mats to cut to fit for some cheap additional support and insulation. But overall, this thing seems like a much better deal than the name brand "sleep system" that I shall not name, which is over 3x the price. ... show more

This is a lot narrower than the pictures show. I was hoping the bigger side would be just enough, that way I could have room on the side of me for my dog. But it is just too narrow. I totally forgot about it when I got it and got so busy with work that I missed my window of return, super bummed about it because I would definitely return this and look for something different. I wish Amazon would give a little bit of leeway when trying to return items past the window. Oh well. I do not recommend buying this. ... show more

The air mattress works really well for holding 2 whole adults in a gen6 Subaru Outback. The two separate air mattresses work really well for one person or helping to isolate movement if sleeping 2. I only take a star off because I have to literally hold the power cord in to the DC end. Luckily it only takes about 45s per side to pump up so you don't have to hold it for long. ... show more
