This product as well as Heybike Support make this an unbelievable E-Bike to buy in this price range. It's a very nice riding bike with front suspension and a spring loaded holding tube for the seat. The nice 20" by 4" tires give you the security you want to feel like so you can ride anywhere. Excellent system to remove the battery as well as a usb port to charge your phone while your resting. Here are some of the Pro's: 1: 8 different mode settings (Default 0-3). Can also set 1-3, 0-5, 1-5, 0-7, 1-7, 0-9, 1-9. Sounds like gibberish but you'll understand once you get one of these 2: Each of the settings you can adjust the power. Ex Mode 1=30%, 2=75%, 3=99% Why this is great. My wife and i both have E=Bikes and she has modes 0-3. I set mine to 1-5 so that my 1 goes 6 mph, my 2=her 1, my 3=her 2, my 4 is 4% faster than her 3 (so I can take breaks peddling) and my 5=her 3. So you can adjust your power for each mode so that you can peddle side by side with friends. 3. 500 watt motor with 48V 12.5AH motor. Power plus good lasting battery 4. Fold-able bike (yes it is 65lbs so a bit heavy but still doable) 5. Solid Frame and great front suspension 6. Fat tires (boy do I love them) 7. Easy to use throttle 8. Gear shifter that works like it's supposed. Marked 1-7 and unlike in the old days it means what it says. 9. Heybike Support. I wanted to make a slight change and I reached out to them. Not only to they respond right away, but they sent me a video to show me how to make the change. They also sent me a part from China which i got in about 6 days, so I rode my bike until the part came (no big deal). Also they sent it Fedex, and from China you know that wasn't cheap. Imagine a company that has a support group will to do this so that the bike is everything you want it to be. Cons: Heavy bike. So be sure if you going to fold it and place it in your car, remove the battery first. This will make it easier to handle. Even though I wrote this as a con. If you want a solid frame like this without spending $3000 to $4000 for a bike then this is the only draw back. For me it's not a con because I can mange the weight with no problem and I am 65 years old. One last comment. I wasn't given this bike to review or paid in anyway. I just believe that when a company makes a good product at great price for what it is, I always feel I should write a review. Nov 19, 2024 (1 year update): I would seriously suggest two modifications. 1) replace the stock mechanical brakes with cable actuated hydraulic brakes. Much better braking power, less maintenance hassle and you avoid replacing the entire brake system with hydraulics. Hydraulic brake pads engage from both sides of the rotor not just one. 2) Very important, place a torque arm on one or both sides of your rear frame and motor axle to prevent the axle motor from twisting out of the dropouts. Since I had an extra, for good measure I also put one on my front tire and frame as well just to keep the front tire, in the unlikeliness, from it coming off the frame. Better to be safe than sorry. This is a serious safety experience and concern for me!!! I have suggested to Heybike that these be preinstalled in the future on all their ebikes. This is My 90 day update (10/2023). My Heybike Mars is still exceeding my expectations and I am still having a lot of fun ebiking with my dog. Being vertically challenged at 5'4" tall one adjustment I have been able to make is raising the seat post 2" higher now that I have become more accustomed to starting off, when stopped and riding. I began riding at the lowest possible position on the seat post. This is a wonderful investment for my mental and physical health. Also, sliding this ebike up and down the stairs of my second floor apartment has become much easier and safer. Very pleased and would recommend a purchase and now that Heybike has come out with their new Mars 2.0, 750w ebike is even more of an incentive. It is apparent that Heybike is dedicated to innovation and customer satisfaction. I am 68 years old and have not ridden a bicycle since I was in my early twenties. I have been riding my new Heybike Mars ebike for the past 4 days and it is great fun. I feel like a young kid again riding around and exploring the great outdoors with my dog, My dog Tasha and I are still having a lot of fun riding around Tuolumne County here in the California Mountains!!! We ordered 2 Hey Bikes (Mars). I researched a lot when looking for e-bikes. A friend recommended the Hey Bike brand. I’m so glad he did. My husband and I love them. We use them with our camper and have enjoyed many miles of bike trails. Our son and daughter in law love them, too. I’m ordering 2 more for them for Christmas. These bikes are reasonably priced and excellent quality. They are easy to fold and were pretty easy to assemble. The ride is smooth and comfortable. I highly recommend them! ... show more

Received the Mars bike, during assembly the following defects/damage was noted. Rear wheel has wicked wobble, out of alignment when doing the peddling by hand to test the gears. The whole bike shakes like a wet dog. The battery could not be installed because when the seat height hardware was put on it was jammed crooked blocking the battery tray opening. Had to disassemble hardware then pry it open to move it into correct position. The handlebars post to front wheel steering will not tighten. (The bolt gets tight but bars are loose)There is play where the handles bars move but the wheel doesn’t. (How long before this gets dangerous). The suspension is terrible. Under seat pos shocks sticks and front shocks stick as well. I have sent the seller Ebike Online 7 messages and each time requested a return label with pickup service and each time the seller has offered parts, and discounts for me to keep this defective unit. And still no label! FYI- I discovered the Mars has been discontinued for the Mars 2.0 may be why seller wants me to keep it even though it’s a defective nightmare with 1.4 miles on it. It’s a LEMON! I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND ONE WAY ORTHE OTHER IT’S BEING RETURNED! ... show more
