It consumes a constant power at each level. The power 4, about 850W, can easily boil 3 quarters of water, which is the maximum I use. That makes it perfect for off grid as it can still boil the same volume at power 3, about 530W.

This induction cooktop works great! It heats up fast and maintains a constant temperature well. It's performed very well with each use, it's easy to clean, and easy to put up out of the way when not in use. Nothing bad to say here, so if definitely recommend.

It works as intended with the power settings. Pretty basic, and made mostly out of plastic. Concerned about long term usage. Tried it on an approved induction cookware and it was super loud with the humming of the electromagnetic field as well as built in fan at the bottom. Sometimes, I only use one eye on my stove and I don't like to turn it on, for just one eye. This little cooktop has been great! It's easy to use and control. It's 1800 Watts and it heats up quickly. Works really well. No smell. Induction cookware (Analon and Tfal) heat up fast. Has warm function and childlock. Responsive touch buttons. Easy to see red LED. Thick sturdy 2 prong cord. Only quibble is the feet are rather small circles, so not as much grip on the counter. Very good product.
