  • Hanger is quality.
Color: Black
Hanger is quality. You may want to upgrade the wall inserts if hanging an electric in drywall.

  • Fits my mandolins. Sturdy. Secure.
Color: Black
This is a sturdy and attractive wall hanger. It perfectly fits my classical guitar. With the NINAs in place, both my narrow neck and wide neck mandolin heads are secure, even if the mandolin swings while in the hanger. The locks close evenly and easily even with the weight of my lightweight, narrow neck mandolin. I see why this is a highly recommended wall hanger. If I could change up anything, I'd wish for multiple choices of wood base, like mahogany, birch, etc. The current wood base looks a little rustic to me. I guess I could stain it a different color or paint it if I was willing to go that effort. But I'm not, so rustic it stays. I'm satisfied with this wall hanger. ... show more

  • Good instrument hangar!
Color: Black
Very happy with these, I have many to hang up my electric / basses. They work well and are secure when the instrument is placed on the hanger, it is locked in place with no chance of falling out. A couple of notes on the installation: 1. I would only be comfortable screwing these into a stud behind the drywall. I would never recommend putting these up with drywall anchors. 2. If the stud spacing won't work for you, I'd recommend hanging a mounting board, tying that into the studs, and then screwing the hanger onto that. 3. I only gave it three stars for installation. The screws they gave are not long enough to get through 5/8" drywall and have a sufficient length of screw in the stud. I would recommend a minimum of 3" screws if you're going through drywall and into the stud (I used 3-1/2" screws for my babies....). Not a big deal, this would not prevent me from buying them again, but I would plan on providing my own screws for a drywall-stud installation. ... show more

  • Hercules is the leading wall hanger for a good reason
Color: Black
This is safe, secure, and exactly what you'd want from a guitar hanger. If you're here, you already know how these work from having seen them in virtually every guitar store: place the guitar headstock on the forks, and the plastic guards pivot into place to prevent any accidental slips; lift up the guitar, the forks pivot out of the way, and you can grab and go. Also, for safety, there is a bit of rotational give in the swiveling yoke which helps to prevent you from destroying your guitar or the stand with an accidental bump. Hercules is arguably the leader in the space for good reason. Installation is a breeze with a power drill, and it includes hardware to mount in either brick or plaster wall. Speaking of hardware, this particular model included the NINA (narrow instrument neck adjustment) accessory, which slips over the arms to narrow the diameter of forks--an elegant and simple solution. I originally purchased this hanger to hang a Taylor GS Mini on the wall for easy access (and as decoration). Then I realized that I was too lazy to keep refilling and maintaining a room humidifier during the winter to protect the wood from warping. So, using the NINA, I transformed it into an ukulele hanger for a Martin HPL ukulele--invincible...unless you drop and shatter one...but this hanger is not going to be at fault if that happens--it's safe and sound and looks great on the wall. ... show more

  • Find a stud
Color: Black
Don't use the provided screws. Use 2.5 inch screws and find a stud if you do you can trust them to hold your heaviest axe no problem

  • Strong, secure and can hold a large variety of instruments
Color: Black
I have a 5-string bass and a Telecaster hung up on my wall with these, and it holds the giant bass headstock and the narrow tele headstock without any issues. The mount never seems to wobble or give me any indication it's going to fail, and they've been holding various guitars off and on for several years without issue. Also I like the pivoting action of the "arms," which would seem to make it all but impossible for an instrument to fall of unexpectedly. I had people working on my house a lot over a few months, and all kinds of things fell over in various bookshelves and tables from all the banging, but my guitars never budged. I agree with what others have said about the screws - put these in studs and use a much larger drywall or deck screw instead of the sad little screws they send you. Maybe the screws they send will suffice but I think it's worth using bigger ones for peace of mind. ... show more
