  • It does its job
Model: CC-MINIGS
This stand is portable and easy to use. It is sturdy and a pretty good value for the money. Just be care ful if you have pets because you can’t adjust the bottom pegs and it is a lil easy for a pet to knock the guitar over. (But who has their pet where they are jammin, right?)

  • Fixable problems and great value
Model: CC-MINIGS
This light and sturdy stand has all the problems that other reviewers have complained about, but I was able to implement fixes and make these work. As other reviewers have reported, the foam rubber pads that support the back of the guitar did mess up the finish on several of my guitars. Fortunately, I was able to repair the finish issues with "Virtuoso Premium Instrument Polish & Cleaner Combo" which is available on Amazon. (I only needed the cleaner.) I was even able to clean up my nitrocellulose-finish guitar. I also implemented two fixes to the stands that so far have prevented damage from occurring. The first fix is to cut the end off of a cotton sock and slip the sock over the support pad on the stand (see photo). The other fix is to attach a piece of cork tile to the support pad with double-stick foam mounting tape (see photo). I like the cork fix best. The cork tile also helps the stand support the guitar more vertically. You can get cork tile at Staples (UPC 18103 23768). I found the foam mounting tape (Scotch Indoor Mounting Tape - UPC 21200 01053) at my grocery store. I followed these steps to implement the cork tile fix: 1. Peel off the foam rubber pad on the stand's plastic guitar back support piece. 2. Clean the foam adhesive residue off the face of the plastic support piece. I used Goo Gone followed by a rubbing alcohol and water solution. 3. Using regular scissors, cut a strip of cork tile about 9/16" wide and 2 inches long. 4. Cut a two-inch strip of the foam tape. 5. Attach the non-backed side of the foam tape strip to the cork strip. 6. Remove the backing on the foam tape and attach the cork / tape strip to the upper part of the plastic support piece. Press the cork / tape piece on firmly. With either of these fixes you can enjoy the benefits of these stands without damaging your guitars. You can buy cork-coated stands online but they're typically over $50. I now own six of these stands, and I've implemented the cork tile fix on all of them. I like these stands because they are compact, light and unobtrusive; they're inexpensive and they're easy to transport to a gig. Chromacast, please replace the foam support pads with cork so we don't have to! ... show more

  • Great stand for my autoharp
Model: CC-MINIGS
I bought this for holding my autoharp on the stage at church after the music set during Sunday morning worship service. It does the trick. Before getting this stand, I used to prop my autoharp up against the side of my chair on the stage. That always made me feel a little nervous...knowing that it could accidentally get knocked over. Which did happen on occasion, and what a racket that made! Now my instrument is safely perched on this guitar stand until after the service when I can pack it up for transport back home. Having this stand has been a game changer for me. ... show more

  • Works well for a classical/Spanish/nylon string guitar
Model: CC-MINIGS
This stand is lightweight and folds up relatively flat for transportation. the locking mechanism is tight and sturdy enough to keep the stand from collapsing when it's engaged. The only disappointment I have with this stand is the way the rubber friction bumper at the top is constructed. [See attached photo.] It isn't what I would call *sturdy*. I have two other stands with similar construction to the ChromaCast, and the rubber pieces on those stands are firmly attached and difficult to move in any direction. On this stand, however, that rubber bumper is attached with two screws through the top: the thinnest section of that bumper. The bottom part of the thicker front section is easily lifted away from the front of the stand. If it gets caught on something by accident in transport, the entire front section could easily break off, making the stand unusable. So, this might be a nice stand to have in a studio where it doesn't get moved around a lot in vehicles with other equipment. ... show more

  • Works well. Easy to set up out of the box.
Model: CC-MINIGS
Really like this for the price. Surprisingly sturdy. Trusting my Martin guitar on it. Love that it comes put together already.

  • Good for electric guitar
Model: CC-MINIGS
We bought this for our Fender "Mini" Strat Beginner Electric Guitar. There are many similar options on Amazon, but we picked this because it's a small business. The stand is exactly like the picture, and it is very sturdy. I am certain it will hold a full size electric guitar too.

  • Perfect Guitar Stand!
Model: CC-MINIGS
I bought this stand as a gift for my fiancé. He has been learning guitar on his own but hasn’t really had a place to store it, until now! Prior to owning this stand, he would just lean it up against the wall or couch which could easily lead to a guitar-breaking disaster! The stand itself is pretty simple. It arrives already put together and all you need to do is pry the legs apart to the width that you would like them to be. After that, it’s storage-city for your guitar. The guitar in the picture is a full-size guitar and it fits perfectly on the stand. There are portions on the bottom that are made of a rubber type material that grips to the guitar and prevents it from sliding around or being easily knocked over. I noticed other reviews where they didn’t care for the angle that the guitar was kept at in this stand, but I haven’t noticed anything like that with the one that we received. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It was inexpensive and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It takes up about as much space as the guitar itself would take up, but now we can just leave it sitting against the stand on the floor instead of having to find the right angle against a wall or piece of furniture. ... show more
