  • Love this stuff
Size: 1 Gallon
Easy to paint or roll on, it looks fantastic and sticks to everything, making it very useful on an rv roof with obstacles to paint around. Used it 2 years ago, with no leaks, and freshened roof up again with another coat recently. Also used it under slide out for extra sealing, and used small paint brush to redo my raised white letter tires on my truck. Bright white and easy to work with, creamy not watery, easy to give a quick stir prior to usage. Worth keeping an extra quart around for other projects like shower grout etc. ... show more

  • Easy application and seems to be of quality
Size: 1 Gallon
I used this today on my Trailer roof, followed the directions at first with a thin coat, it was easy enough to apply with a paint roller that has a long broom handle attached. Hand held paint roller not so much. I stupidly left the used but closed can on my bathroom fan cover, it slid off around 8pm, spilled and so I had to quickly spread it over the entire roof again. Which I was planning on doing tomorrow but.. ooops. My fault. Hopefully it dries fine overnight and cures tomorrow well in the hot sunny day. ... show more

  • Good stuff
Size: 1 Gallon
Easy to apply, sticks very good to work rv roof. Thick so you don’t have to apply a whole bunch of coats. Applied it about 4 years ago and works fine. Not so easy to remove but that’s the point. Does not stick to flex seal or eternabond so keep that in mind

  • Decent product
Size: 1 Gallon
Finally getting around to using product. Goes on fine, dries fast. If you have an old roof and want to make it look new again, this will work. I don’t think there’s a lot of longevity in it. Every few years it will need to be done again. If you want to use something long term Gaco Roof is much better. The only reason I used Hengs over that this time was price. Gaco has gone up almost double since Covid, but I will bit the bullet and buy it when the roof needs to be covered again. ... show more

  • Outstanding Product and Easy to Use
Size: 1 Gallon
This was the first time I've ever coated my motorhome roof - wasn't sure what to expect. The factory coating was getting VERY thin, to a point where large patches of the black rubber roof were showing through. I washed the roof well with Dawn dishwashing liquid which did a remarkably good job of removing dirt and any grease - a lot of people like Tide powder detergent, but the Dawn dishwashing liquid worked really well. Soak the roof with water, squirt on the Dawn from the bottle, scrub with a brush, rinse well. Pre-wet the sides of your rig and keep them wet to avoid streaks. Once completely dry, I trimmed out the roof with a utility paint brush and rolled the balance. Took about an hour and a half to re-coat the roof. I can't believe how good it came out and how easy it was to work with the Heng's - excellent to work with and easy to clean up. I have a 33' Class A motorhome and 1 gallon was sufficient for one coat, although I was scraping the can for the last couple of square feet.. I used a second gallon for a second coat - probably wasn't needed because the first coat covered so well, but I tend to do things to a point of overkill. The roof looks factory fresh, brand new. Very highly recommend Heng's rubber roof coat for a very cost effective and easy to do RV roof re-coat. ... show more

  • Two years later and it's still intact and in good shape
Size: 1 Gallon
After two years in the South Carolina sun the roof still looks and works great. There's a couple of spots that will need touch up, the largest maybe 1 1/2" by 1" but the majority of the coating is intact. It's not bright pretty white any more but has weathered to a dirty white color. I certainly would use this again! See original review below. I used this product to coat my 28 ft trailer roof. The original roof was getting old and was chalky, thin, and checkered from age. The South Carolina sun was not helping and before I replaced the roof I decided to try to reseal it. I used 4 inch Eternabond tape around the vents, antenna, and skylight over the shower. I washed the roof with a TSP solution and rinsed it. In hindsight I should have probably washed it again but I will explain that later. I cleaned the edges of the roof with denatured alcohol and a rag, then applied the Heng's coating to the edges with a brush. I did the roof with a roller by pouring a puddle on the roof and rolling it out. I worked from front to back then left it to dry overnight. You could still see the color of the old surface through the Heng's much like the old wall color when you paint with latex paint. The next day I went up on the roof and when I walked on it I saw that small areas were peeled off. I tried to rub the edges of one and the Heng's peeled up like it was not adhering to the old surface. It was about the size of a dinner plate when I got done. The rest seemed to be sticking so I attributed the peeling in that spot to my prep and hoped that it was the only area. I did the edges and rolled the roof again and let it dry overnight. The 28 ft camper took 1 1/2 gallons to complete. The next afternoon I looked at it and it looked good except for some small bubbles, maybe a half dozen, 3/4" in diameter. Again I thought it might be the prep and left the roof alone. That was in the first week of July. The product said 24 hours cure time, but this application had a month in the SC sun before we used the camper. This weekend was the first time we used the camper since then. We had a downpour, "build an ark" rainstorm driving to our campsite, and two nights of severe thunderstorms when we were there. I didn't know what to expect since there were the adhesion problems with the application. When we left I went up on the roof to sweep off the top of the slide-out and saw the Heng's coating survived the trip and the storms there unscathed. No bubbles, no peeling, no damage. I went up on the roof tonight and looked closer and could see no evidence that it had bubbled or peeled. Apparently after curing it is much more durable that it looked initially. Time will tell but at this point it seems to work as advertised. The only thing I would do differently is wash and rinse the roof twice and maybe use denatured alcohol on a rag and wipe it down the entire roof before applying. ... show more
