  • Marine Adhesive
Size: 1 fl oz Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
I used it as you would caulking to seal my Keel Guard edges to my motor boat. It's fabulous. It sets plyable really firm and seal water out from getting under the keel guard. I also used it to patch holes in the transom from an old transducer. Highly recommend, salt water tough.

  • Best watertight sealer there is
Size: 1 fl oz Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
If you need a guaranteed watertight seal, this is it. It is messy, difficult to work with, and hard to clean up, But it is worth it in the end. As a marine mechanic there are hundreds of boats along the west coast of Florida that iv'e put this on below the waterline. Most are commercial vessels that live in the water and are used in extreme condition, and as far as I know, they are all still floating. Ive put my faith in this to keep million dollar boats sealed, trust me it works. Note once it is on, it is on, it is VERY hard to get off. If it dries on your skin you are going to wear it for at least 3-5 days, don't ask how I know. Great stuff, worth it! ... show more

  • This is great stuff, but a little messy
Size: 1 fl oz Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
This stuff makes a seal that will last for years on most materials, but it does not stick well to some plastics. It does stick to others, and metals, and fiberglass & wood. It sets up as hard as a car tire. It's a bit of a mess to work with and it can be hard to clean up. Once the tube is open, & air gets to it, the remaining material will set up inside the tube & it will not be usable anymore. even if you stick a plug in the hole at the end of the tube. That's why I buy it in small tubes. The white version will turn a little yellow if it is left in direct sunlight for a long time. ... show more

  • It works in wet environments! Stays somewhat flexible.
Size: 1 fl oz Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
I did not buy this for a boat. I wanted to use it at the waterline to reattach tiles around my pool. I realize this is not the intended function but it works like a charm. Ideal for wet environments as it is not water soluble. Cured in 24 hours and works even under water. Stays flexible. Cost effective. My recommendation is to clean and prep the area before you open the tube. I bought the smallest tube for single use application. It can be unforgiving once it touches a surface for bonding. You can move it around but I suggest you wear gloves as this stuff is hard to remove from under your nails and from your skin. ... show more

  • Very effective sealant for boats, a must-have for marine applications
Size: 3 fl oz Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
I've used this 3M Fast Cure 5200 for all sorts of purposes over the years, primarily on my boat. Whenever I drill a hole or put a screw into the boat's hull or transom, this stuff is going on the screw threads or in the hole to seal it from water permanently. I've patched holes up to 1/2 inch in diameter using just 3M 5200 and I've never had a drop of water get in through that hole afterward. It's pretty amazing stuff. I've also used this stuff to adhere loose trim to fiberglass inside my boat, it works well and bonds stronger than most glues on the market. The only downside to 3M Fast Cure 5200 is that it's messy and not very reusable. Even the small tubes are expensive. When you cap after using, make sure you find a way to use the rest of this sealant in the not-too-distant future as the cap will become difficult to remove, and the sealant will harden up near the cap. 3M 5200 sticks to just about every type of material on the planet and is impenetrable to water. For boats, 3M 5200 is a must-have, use it to quickly patch up holes and cracks, it'll keep your boat afloat without any leaks whatsoever. ... show more

  • Worked to strengthen engine mounts
Size: 10 fl.oz cartridge Style: 5200FC Pattern Name: Adhesive Sealant
I used this to strengthen my engine mounts as they were getting old and the engine visibly tilted. The mechanic said it was "normal" but the engine tilted a good 3-4inches when in gear and engine revved, so instead of painfully replacing the mounts I filled them with this sealant. Was an absolute pain in the ass to squeeze out this sealant, its very thick, but I managed to fill the two primary torque mounts fully. I had the car in my garage with a humidifier running and all of sealant cured within a week (about 1.5in from surface to innermost area). The sealant has remained in the mount for a couple months now and survived the heat of the summer and engine bay. It does seem to have slightly separated from the rubber itself, but that was expected due to the nature of the rubber. The sealant itself remains like a filler block and works like a charm, engine barely tilts half an inch now. I know this was an unorthodox application for this product but it works as I needed it to. ... show more
