  • Perfect fit.

Installed in no time. Fit perfectly for my garage door. The door opens nice and smooth now.

  • Single hoop ends

It would been better if it has double hoops for more durability.

  • Installation

This review applies only to extension springs. Best if you know the part number of the spring for an exact match. If you do not, you either make an educated guess of the door weight or weigh the door. If you do the latter, remember garage door is very heavy. Use pulleys to ease the door to the ground (because you will do that after removing the springs). Remove the old springs before weighing. When buying the springs, match weight of door to the spring rating. If a door is in the down position, use the pulleys to lift the door. When installing the springs, use a C-clamp or a vice grip to prevent the door from a free fall. Lastly you need extensive knowledge to do a proper job. When in doubt, hire a professional. ... show more

  • Smaller than original
Size Name: 120lb
Same color and weight class, but these do not have the girth of the original springs I replaced. They work fine, but just wonder why they don’t seem as Heavy Duty?

  • Garage door spring popped? Get this.
Size Name: 160lb
Garage door spring broke? The spousal unit yapping? Appease her and fix the garage door, boys. For peace of mind and preservation of sanity, order and install these if your garage door spring breaks. (Just be sure to measure the ones you are replacing)

  • Time to replace
Size Name: 120lb
After 17 years of use, my garage door started having problem opening and closing. A closer examination revealed the existing springs had stretched out and were loose. This was my first time replacing the garage door springs, and it was not a simple job. However, with some DIY experiences, it wasn't too complicated to figure out. After the replacement, the garage door was back in action again with no more issue. The new springs looked a little thinner and less heavy-duty than the old ones, but they worked out fine. ... show more

  • They seem more flimsy than the originals!
Size Name: 160lb
I actually ordered 20lb better rating than my original springs and I am glad that I did... even these heavy rated springs look flimsier than the original ones that I on, the ends that usually break no not have enough loops that lock in on the static loop. I ordered these since both my springs snapped and needed to replace urgently but have a feeling these will give up sooner than the ones I had previously, the reason I say that is when used for week, when the garage door is closed and the springs are not streched, they dont go back to the original length that they came in, they are now longer giving me an indication the quality may not be that great. Springs are supposed to get back to original size. Time will tell, lets see how long these go.... my originals lasted about 7 years. ... show more
