I've used other minoxidil products and stop using because they don't absorb. This absorbs. What a great invention. I haven't used long enough to know if Minoxidil works for me, but I had to write about the aesthics of the product. My hair is thin and straight. Doesn't mess it up. You do have to wait a couple hours for it to feel like there is nothing on hair, yet immediately looks like there is nothing on hair. I can see myself using this everyday, twice a day.     • Cannot return this product - You're stuck with it even though you don't want it.
Very few instructions were given when I bought this product. Many down side factors were not mentioned when I bought the product. I could not return it, so I'm stuck with it. Be prepared to use it for life, because when you stop using it, your hair will most likely fall back out. Using 2 drops a day is a must, you cannot use the drops until 4 hours after you shampoo your hair. The list goes on and on. It only mentions the rave reviews BEFORE you buy it.     • It works, but....
The most important thing is that this product worked for me. After 3 months, I noticed my hair had stopped thinning out and shedding all over my clothes. After 5 months, it was noticeably thicker on top and around the temples, where I'd been applying the Minoxidil solution. The downside was that it left my hair sticky and dull after each application, and since it has to be applied twice a day (and you can't wash for 2-3 hours after), there was virtually no time left that the hair looked nice. My dermatologist said I could use the men's formula once a day instead. I was about to switch (it was cheaper, too) when my primary care doc suggested giving me a Rx for the oral pill. I now take a low dose (1.25mg-half a tablet) once a day and can do whatever I want with my hair. Some folks might prefer not to take the medication orally, but I'm finding it to be the most convenient method for me. ... show more
