The only product I’ve found that was effective for itchy irritated scalp was Nizoral, and that too is also on the drying side. I tried this on a whim because it had an interesting ingredient list and was inexpensive. I am so impressed I may even try the other products in the line. It’s not overly drying like most scalp care products but still lathers and cleans your hair nicely despite being sulfate free. Your hair is hydrated and shiny afterwards and your scalp is flake-free and doesn’t feel tight. The scent is also very subtle, unlike other Head and Shoulder products that smell like dish soap. This stuff is awesome. A few uses and my flaky skin and itchy scalp problem went away. Lathers well. Didn't dry out my hair. Smells fine. I paired it with Royal Oils conditioner for the most benefit. Highly recommended if you need a dandruff shampoo. My dermatologist recommended this shampoo. The smell is fairly mild, but I still don't like it. It has coconut oil in it, which I don't really like. I might try mixing some essential oils in it to see if I can make it smell more appealing. I love this shampoo, and I don't even have much hair! It is an excellent scalp conditioner and leaves your body feeling soft but not greasy. Men's shampoo and soaps are typically quite drying, this is not. I am now a big fan and fod the price it is reasonable and effective.
