Yes, this capture card does work out of the box, I will tell any of you that, but be warned -- just because it works out of the box doesn't mean it's built to last. I only consider the color bleeds evident in the screenshots a minor issue as well. But mine wore out for me after not even a month. Once those endless flickers of white boxes appeared, I was like, "I'm done with this," even when I just tried solving it by replacing the USB cable it otherwise comes with. Will it satisfy your urge to **TRY** a capture card? Yes, it will, but it's just for a **TRY.** Don't get this if you want to avidly use a capture card for whatever reason. If you buy it anyway, you might get lucky and still have it work if you only use it sparingly, but there's no guarantees. ... show more

    • Works great with my Canon VIXIA HF R700 Camcorder
After cabling everything I added this as a source to OBS and had a black screen. The trick (obvious in retrospect) was to turn on the camera last. I assume the box needs power (from USB) before turning on the camera to negotiate the HDMI parameters. At least that's my story.... Now my camcorder is a great source for OBS. ... show more

Easy to use and install for sure and worked great for a month and then crushed. Keep letting me down when I stream my twitch.
