I used these to remove and re-install some brass pipe nipples in a shower after tile work. They work well turning in either direction and won't damage the threads. The 1/2 inch wrench fits well in a 17mm socket so you can get all the torque you need to get everything tight.

I actually bought this set to remove a sawed off pipe from a antique brass hose bib, couldn't figure out how to unscrew the rusted pipe cut off flush, the plumber didn't care he was trying to get job done

More A*azon garbage... These are such poor quality and milled too small. So much so that they don't even engage when attempting to use in the size pipe they are Supposed to be for.... Thanks for wasting my time..

Seems to be a real good quality tool however it didn't work for my needs I still haven't been able to get that piece of pipe out of the shower wall yet still working at it but I think it will do the job eventually

    • Tried a pipe nipple extractor, a standard wrench with no luck. Until THIS!
I am so grateful for this tool. After using the tools mentioned in my headline I did some research and found that this tool is really what I needed. I prepped the nipple by spraying the connected area and the inside of the nipple pipe with some trusty PB Blaster, I waited 10 minutes and then I executed. After about 2 or 3 hefty (but not too hefty) turns back and forth... it loosened. This relieved me being that I did not want to open a shower wall after having tile installed 2 months prior.
