I have a couple of tires that keep losing air although they have excellent tread. After having them checked for any leakage problem by a mechanic I was told that they could not find anything wrong or any reason my tires should be losing air. Short of purchasing new tires the only option left was to continue going by a service station to check my tire pressure (which was extremely inconvenient). I began researching alternatives to this and found the portable compressors for tires. The videos posted here by users was a HUGE help in narrowing down my options. I decided to go with the Hausbell because most of the reviews were positive. The unit arrived quickly and I used it for the first time today. It was easy to understand and I had no trouble attaching the air hose to the stem. It filled the tire incredibly quickly! I was sooooo happy! So I am going to list what I consider to be pros and cons of the unit. PROS 1. Easy to understand instructions 2. Large numbers that make the display easy to read 3. Well lit for use at night 4. Works very fast to fill the tire 5. Unit turns off when correct pressure is reached (you have to specify setting) 6. Light weight 7. Comes with adapters for using on balls, balloons, pool toys, etc. CONS 1. It does not come with a storage case 2. Although the photo shows what appears to be a tieback for the cord it arrived with just a twist tie around the cord. 3. The plastic casing around the machine does not appear to be too durable. 4. Because it is lightweight there is some bouncing around of the unit while it is working. 5. The instructions that came with the unit included a "warranty" for 3 months. It stated they were responsible for the "three guarantees" but failed to state what those are. In summary, I think this unit is worth the money and serves my purposes well. I would recommend it to someone that is driving a car. It is also very nice to now have a way to inflate balloons, pool toys, etc. I notice it stated that the unit has to be turned off after 10 minutes of use and a 15 minute cool down period should elapse before using again. So for larger tires it might not work as quickly. ... show more

It was pretty easy to use. Small and fits nicely in your car doesnt take much room. Its a bit loud but works great for on the go and road trips.

Nice , small , light weight tire inflator. Easy to use . Have a 2014 Durango RT & 2016 Hyundai Hatchback , No problem reaching front or rear tires from 12 volt plug . Can set pressure settings for auto off if need . Can raise tire pressure 4 to 6 psi on all 4 tires less that 5 / 10 min . Got one for each car . Definitely would buy again if needed … Works good , saves time from going to Service station . ... show more

I've had this HAUSBELL Portable Air Compressor for almost 2 years. I didn't used to use this very often during the first year, but I have a slow leak in my passenger side back tire now, for a few months and now use it to pump up that tire about once every 5 days or so. It has been fantastic. It is loud and it does get hot in the sun in Florida, but keeps doing the one thing it was designed for, very well. I have seen smaller Portable DC Air Compressors and even battery powered ones, but I can't imagine using a different model now, and if this one ever breaks, I will likely get the same model. ... show more

    • It works! Easy to use for Car Dud

I am a Car Dud. Not a Car DUDE. A DUD. Which means I know nothing about cars. I hate anything dealing with cars. And so when my check tire light is on... I sigh... heavily. I had gotten another portable air pump from Amazon a month ago. I used it.... and it deflated my tires. I don't know what happened. I totally admit that it could be user error. I had to run to the gas station with a nearly completely deflated tire to get air in there. Dangerous. After healing from that incident, I still felt it best for me to try another one. This one - the Hausbell was recommended on a website, so I figured I'd give it a try. I liked that it was straight forward. The other one was confusing. This one - you stick the thing on, and you push a button. It inflates.... the screen is defaulted to PSI. I turn off the button when it gets to the PSI I want. I know there's the preset function, which I thought I would use, but why bother...It inflates slowly... it's not like we're going to miss it here. The marketing copy says it inflates really fast ...as reviews suggest, it's not as fast as the videos show. But it's okay... Do you know why? BECAUSE IT WORKS. IT INFLATED MY TIRE INSTEAD OF DEFLATING IT. 5 Stars for that. And really the price is very very reasonable - don't you think? ... show more

    • Major disappointment
I had previously purchase two separate 120V air pumps through Amazon and I was impressed with the quality of them. So when I needed a 12V air pump for my car, I automatically went with the Hausbell brand. It arrived in August 2024 and I used it 4 times successfully over the summer. On Nov 15 2024 I need it to fix a bicycle tire leak and it did not work. It would come on but then shut off within seconds. It did that over and over until I just gave up. I tried to contact the company but all I could find was a blank Email sheet but the instructions to contact them were all in Chinese letters so I don't know if they ever got it. I looked to see if there was a written guarantee online but I could find none. They should really refund or replace but I don't think that will happen. The "light" on the unit was working so I know it was getting the proper 12V of power. That is not the problem. The unit failed: that is the problem. ... show more

So glad I got this , use it often if not for myself I loan it out . I've helped people in public with a flat , my kids use it for tires , swim rings , balls , air up mattress, etc. You will be so glad you have in case of a flat. If you are a single lady, have daughters, or gift for moms , this won't go to waste and will come in so handy. This pump is so easy to use, small and easily stored in your trunk.
