  • A classic reborn / Un clásico renacido
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I played HeroQuest many times during my adolescence. It is a very creative game with elements that make it very appealing to anyone. The original game had not been available for many years, and it is good to see how it has been relaunched with some new elements. In general, HeroQuest has not changed its essence. 4 players take control of a warrior, a mage, a dwarf, and an elf and venture into an adventure to try to stop the forces of the evil Zargon. One more player helps to direct the game while being in charge of taking on the role of the villain's hordes. The game comes with a book full of adventures that are played one after another to form a story. The box contains a huge board to place the miniatures and create the necessary settings for each adventure. It also contains a huge number of miniatures of characters, monsters, and decorations, which you'll use to create a forgotten dungeon, or the ruins of a castle, or monster-infested caves. The important thing is the teamwork of the group of adventurers to survive each adventure. The miniatures in this version are much better than those in the original game, with much more detail and made of strong material. The furniture and decorations are also better and give it a standout aesthetic. In other words, the board draws attention when you're already in action. It's like a simple version of D&D, if you can understand it that way. Additionally, the game gives you the tools to create your own adventures to play with friends and family. Highly recommended game, each game can take around 1 hour, filled with entertainment. It's a simple game for any age. The only reason I have to give it 4 stars is that this version lacks "the shop," which is a board where you can see the equipment that the heroes can buy between each adventure. This was a very good element in the original version that they left out for some reason. It's not essential since the equipment is all on cards, but it was a visual element that gave players access to see the tools that the heroes have access to. ... show more

  • A Legendary Adventure Unleashed! Five Stars for Avalon Hill's HeroQuest!
I recently had the immense pleasure of experiencing the Avalon Hill HeroQuest gaming system, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I opened the box, I was transported to a world of epic quests, treacherous dungeons, and thrilling battles. HeroQuest has truly earned its place as a timeless classic in the realm of tabletop gaming. First and foremost, the production quality of HeroQuest is outstanding. The artwork on the game board, cards, and miniatures is beautifully detailed and evocative, immersing players in a rich fantasy world. The sturdy construction of the game components ensures durability, allowing for countless hours of adventuring without fear of wear and tear. The game mechanics strike a perfect balance between accessibility and depth. HeroQuest is easy to learn, making it an excellent choice for players of all ages and experience levels. The straightforward rules allow for quick setup and smooth gameplay, ensuring that the focus remains on the excitement of the adventure. Yet, beneath the simplicity lies a strategic depth that keeps players engaged and eager to explore further. One of the standout features of HeroQuest is its immersive storytelling. The included quest book presents a captivating narrative, guiding players through a series of interconnected scenarios. Each quest unfolds with its own unique challenges, surprises, and objectives, ensuring that no two adventures feel the same. The game master role adds an extra layer of excitement, allowing for dynamic storytelling and unexpected twists. The hero and monster miniatures are a true delight. The level of detail and craftsmanship is remarkable, bringing the characters and creatures to life on the table. Painting and customizing these miniatures can be a rewarding hobby in itself, adding a personal touch to the game and creating a truly unique gaming experience. Furthermore, the replayability factor of HeroQuest is off the charts. With multiple quests, each with branching paths and alternative outcomes, the game offers endless hours of thrilling gameplay. Additionally, the inclusion of expansion packs and user-generated content ensures that the adventures never have to end. The possibilities for new quests, heroes, monsters, and equipment are limited only by the players' imagination. Finally, I must commend Avalon Hill for their commitment to the HeroQuest community. The support, updates, and engagement from the company have been exceptional. Their dedication to ensuring the longevity and enjoyment of the game is truly commendable. In conclusion, Avalon Hill's HeroQuest gaming system is a true gem in the world of tabletop gaming. With its superb production quality, accessible yet strategic gameplay, immersive storytelling, stunning miniatures, and limitless replayability, it is no wonder that HeroQuest has garnered a devoted following over the years. • Best board game ever
Excellent new in vox condition, fast shipping. When I was 9 years old, I was in a Catholic daycare. Across the hall, the older kids, 12 or 13 year olds, were one short for a full game and invited me to play “dungeons and dragons”. It was actually HeroQuest. For 2 decades, I searched for this game. When I saw the price tag, I held off for over a year. After purchasing, I regret nothing. Since I bought it, my four kids and I have had many awesome nights together. And thanks to the companion DM app, if I’m one kid short, I can step in as a player while the computer plays the NPCs. Beautiful, lovely game. ... show more

  • Heroquest
The old version of Heroquest sales for more than the new one. I think a lot of people are unaware that after 30 years it has been reprinted. Nothing from the original game has been taken away, but they have added expansions that we didn’t see the first time around. I hope to see more. The quality of the miniatures are great and the furniture and dungeon set pieces are far better than the originals. Is it expensive yes, but it’s worth it. Sale your old copy on eBay and buy the new. PS the game board is bigger so that’s a bonus with the new version as well! ... show more

  • Best game ever made
This game was one of the most fun games to play with my friends when I was 8 years old, years later the re-release holds up and is even more fun to play as an adult with friends and some drinks! Drop your phones, grab some friends and become Hero’s on a quest worthy of legend!

  • The best thing about HreoQuest...
...is the BROADSWORD (broad soad)! This release is VERY well done, and they've improved a lot on the late80s-early 90s original release of the game. It's precisely the same thing as the OG HeroQuest, it just looks a lot nicer, with higher quality figures and pieces. If you like a more basic role playing adventure board game, and a game that doesn't have overly complicated rules (as RPGs go), HeroQuest is for you. ... show more
