It was very easy to assemble, clear directions to read, BUT the actual side stands and poles were all bent, all of them, except 2! My husband had to use a hammer on almost the entire pergola parts to undent them enough to fit! And the cover itself? Doesn't hold onto ANYTHING! So one gust of wind and it flys off.. For the price of this thing, I'm very disappointed, I would have sent it back but I was throwing a graduation bbq that next weekend so we had to make it work. UPDATE: 7/03/23 Since writing this review I was actually contacted by the actual company! They were so upset with my experience they asked me if I wanted a replacement FREE OF CHARGE! But I don't have the room or the need for a 2nd one, so then they asked if I'd like a FULL REFUND since I had no need of a new pergola, at that point I was hesitant; because I've never been in a situation where a company would even consider a refund (especially this day and age) soo.. I said yes just to see what would happen next, AND THEY DID! With an apology of the inconvenience on my part!!! Who knew there were still caring companies out there! I am thrilled with this pergola! It was relatively easy to assemble and it looks so nice on the back deck! The 4 main upright beams look like wood but are metal; they’re solid and durable and the whole aesthetic is quite chic. We’ve received many compliments already! Very happy with this purchase. Note: the shipment comes in 2 separate boxes and they may not arrive on the same day. Nicely designed and easy to assemble - although it does take some time and, at points, requires multiple people. As you would expect in this price range, this is not a commercial strength unit. But my sense is that it will hold up to normal household wear and tear for several years, especially if you are careful about how you move it (4 people, each lifting one leg). Please note that this comes in two boxes and that Amazon will say it is delivered when the first box arrives, not the second. When we inquired about the missing second box, the company quickly responded with the tracking numbers for both boxes. ... show more

Sturdier than thought. Fairly easy to put together easy to attach to the deck. The wind can definitely take the top off. Our solution was to over the first rail then under the second and repeat on the other end. Then weighted the cover equally on each side. Love this

My husband said it is well built and very easy to install. The nuts and bolts are sealed so you don’t have to worry that some are missing. Every piece of the pergola is individually wrapped!     • Love the quality, look and design of this pergola !
I was looking for a quality Pergola and so after purchasing and setting up this one I am very excited to have it. I was a little skeptical having something like this shipped but it worked out great! It is made of a durable and sturdy steel wood-like powder coated steel. So, I know having this kind of frame will allow it to last longer and hold up against various types of weather conditions throughout the year. It also provides a great amount of shade and covering against the sun and light rain. So, when I am out lounging or grilling I am protected against getting burned and so it really has been a great way to keep my skin safe. Also, it has great instructions and it took me around 4 hours to complete the setup process. I can also adjust the canopy to the direction of the sun and it can be secured that way which is a nice feature. It also has ground nails which is great for keeping it secured in place. So, it is definitely a great addition to my backyard design. Overall, I’m impressed with the design and quality of this pergola !! ... show more
