  • Amazing
I'm very pleased with this geo dome. It did take a bit to put together alone, but I believe with two people this is easy to assemble. I had an issue with a bent post. My lawn guy ran into it with the lawn mower, and my daughter only had this for about 4-6 weeks. I was discouraged, but after emailing hapfan, I found that they stood by there product, and they were very happy to help replace the bent post for no charge. I received the new post in the 20 days they said it might take to arrive, and replacing it was easy. I highly recommend this!! ... show more

  • Love it - would recommend.
The media could not be loaded. Shipping took longer than expected. Was delayed and messed up when I planned to put it together. So about 3 weeks to get here. I was afraid of putting it together. My husband and I - along with our five year old worked together and got it done in about an hour and a half. The main thing we learned with the directions - go counter clockwise and only tighten at the end. They are short with the washers , however - they give you a bag of spare parts. So we had enough. They were not spares. My little climber has been going for two hours now. Perfect and she keeps showing me the muscles she’s getting. The swing is super fun. Just make sure they watch their head if laying down. It was worth the price and light enough to move for grass cutting. Sturdy enough it’s staying put. I also like that it’s not too tall I worry about her getting hurt - but it’s a nice size I feel like it’s not a baby toy. ... show more

  • Lots of fun
This is heavy you will need more than one person. Lots of pieces. If you are handy assembly isn't too bad. Took us about 3 hours total with the kids "helping". Instruction are a bit vague but there is a video in the listing. The end result is a fun place for the kids to play. It is holding up well so far. ... show more

  • Great, solid climber and a throwback to my youth
We got this Hapfan 10ft Climbing Dome with Saucer Swing because I used to have one like it when I was a kid 50 years ago. A few updates to that design include "handgrip" knobs over the bolts (should help protect from scrapes) and a saucer swing. All the parts are identified and included. They even give you 2 pairs of thin gloves. Assembly definitely takes 2 people though it isn't difficult. Get all the parts out and pay attention to which pieces it wants you to use in each step. During step 2 I'd recommend temporarily putting one of the longer bolts in to hold the "arms" upright until the next step. I'd also recommend assembling over a solid surface (we used our driveway) as the nuts, bolts, and washers are easy to lose. Leave ALL the bolts loose until fully assembled then we worked from the bottom up to tighten everything. It does come with tools, but I'd grab a 13 mm deep socket (& ratchet) and a 5 mm Allen wrench to make it easier. Once assembled, this climber is strong and sturdy. We were able to pick it up and move it into position without any real flex. Also, I am able to move it by myself to mow around. It's rated for 800 lbs. overall, and while I (at 240 lbs.) didn't climb fully on top, I did feel comfortable hanging from it. I also laid on the swing (rated at 400 lbs.) though it did stretch the fabric a bit. Kid review: When our 2 YO saw it she ran over and started climbing right away. She also loves the swing so the entire climber is a big hit. ... show more

  • Will absolutely need 2 people to install this....
This climbing set was probably one of the most frustrating sets I have ever assembled. The instructions tell you to install the poles in a very specific order, but, their diagrams are so poor, that you cannot really tell for certain what order they are. You think you do, but, it seems wrong the entire time you are building this. This is a project you want atleast 2 people helping one another. The poles require being slightly lifted and angled in order to hand tighten the bolts together, and without another person helping to give you leverage, it's a near impossible task. I honestly, was over building this entire thing, not even 10 minutes into assembly. The entire build I kept questioning if it was going to even turn out right because it was so difficult to string bolts through the poles, and finger tighten, that it felt like it would fall apart or not tighten once finished. This is a set you ABSOLUTELY MUST not tighten beyond finger strength ability, until it's assembled. If you tighten it before hand, you will not have the maneuverability and the flexibility to adjust or secure the next poles. It definitely gets easier to assemble the more you do, but this is not a project I would ever wish to build again. Once it's finally together, then you start at the base and tighten every bolt and nut as tightly as possible. It will start to feel sturdy and strong, and honestly, I was surprised it actually worked out in the end. Basically, I just trusted the process and it worked out, so even if you think it's not going to come together, just push through, because it will. The frustration I experienced with assembly, and the poor diagrams that do not paint a crystal clear picture of how the steps should actually be in the instructions, I almost just gave this a 2 star and left it unfinished. It will tell you to put them exactly as it says, but then, their diagram and close view look opposite of each other, as well as some poles looking like they'd be in the front, but then another pole is looking like it should be there. I'm struggling to explain this verbally, but if you seen it, my explanation would make a lot of sense. Again though, I just went with best guess, and trusted that I had it as close to correct as possible, and in the end, it did work out perfectly. With 2 people, this took about 2 hours to assemble. We started at 445, and finished at 639. That is without adding the swing yet, as we were both ready to call it a night by the time we got the dome together. My biggest thought about this after assembled was, how if I were to ever move, I will absolutely not disassemble this and take it with us. It can stay on the property for the next set of kids to enjoy after mine do. That's just how much I did not enjoy the process. Someone else may have an easier time, because I am also a meticulous person, and without perfectly clear instructions, I do struggle to detour and figure it out on my own, but my building partner helped me in that area, so it was nice to have a more go with the flow person to walk with me through it. Regardless of my anxiety and frustration, my children, ages 8 and 2 1/2 were absolutely enamored by this structure. I had a hard time getting them to come inside even though it was starting to get dark. My 2 1/2 year old is fearless and with help, wanted to climb and climb and climb. My 8 yr old has a lower muscle tone so he struggled a little, but, with patience he figured out how to climb and thought it was the greatest that he was able to figure it out. This dome will be excellent for helping him build muscle strength he needs, and building the muscles that his Physical Therapists have struggled to get him to use during appointments. It is like an at home PT device, that he does not even realize is work. Bonus for me as his mom. He loves it. For him alone, the joy he has playing on it, and the benefits it will be for his muscle tone, made every frustration of assembly worth it. My son is 5ft and 100lbs, and this dome does not even flinch at that weight, so he has many years of playing on this left. I am 165lbs and 5ft 4in, and I was able to climb this and feel secure and comfortable. It's also low enough that I could climb inside and help guide my son to the top and felt secure enough to help catch him if he slipped and started going through the bars. It is a structurally sound dome. As far as safety goes, I trust this to hold firm through the roughest of play. I expect it will last for years as well. One thing I want to note though, is you 100% need a flat surface. The tiniest of indents did make this wobble, so my building partner and I moved the finished dome around until we found that flat enough surface. It was fairly easy to do this as well, and, when time to mow the lawn, I like knowing the two of us can just lift and move it rather than having to squeeze in with a weed eater. Even though I would never build another of these, this ended up being worth the struggle. The whole point was to bring the park to our yard, as the parks around us are few and not the greatest. I accomplished this with this dome. I do feel it is very secure, and again, my children absolutely love this dome. Even without the swing installed yet, they cannot get enough of playing on this structure. I would have loved to give this the full 5 stars, but, knowing better instructions could have been created to ease some of the frustration people may experience in trying to assemble this, I feel a deducted star is warranted. If I had not been so overwhelmed that I had taken pictures, I could have made a better instruction manual than what came with it. It would not have taken much to do this. Had it not been for the iffy instruction, I would have given this the full 5 stars. ... show more
