Our existing pillow top mattress had become too hard to sleep on without tossing and turning all night. When we first evaluated the new topper we thought it might be just too thin to soften the load on our mattress. But we gave it a try and it worked really well. It softens the load and spreads out the pressure points so that we can now both sleep without needing to turn over every hour. With it being only about 2" thick (once it is allowed to expand from packing), it does not affect the current bedding. It also does not make us hot from trapping body heat. Now that I’ve had a chance to sleep on it I wanted to give my review. The pad itself is great, my 4 stars is only due to the poor packaging. This item did come in an Amazon box, however upon opening the not damaged Amazon box this is what was inside. Luckily the vacuumed sealed bag/product wasn’t damaged. But the Manufacturer box was. It appeared to have been taped shut. I personally would not have placed that package not knowing if anything could have been damaged into the Amazon box, without offering a discounted price, I would have put in a non-damaged product (meaning not a bulged box) but beyond that, the topper definitely serves its purpose and is soft and comfortable considering it is memory foam. Didn’t have a Oder like some do, and delivery time was great I would recommend. ... show more

I really regret this purchase and have been unable to return. It has already started fraying around the edges after one month of use. The memory foam is also so thin that it flattens immediately when you lay down. If you are buying this solely as a mattress protector, it will do the job, just don't expect added comfort or support. Soft and cushy. After unsealing, allowing an overnight for it to completely puff up is necessary. I am using it on a fold out foam Chair- bed, which is about 34” wide and very firm. Using twin size bedding is working. Would also recommend for a firm RV bunk.
