It fits on the bed perfectly. Does not make sounds or crackle when you move. My granddaughter peed in the bed, I thought for sure it would have soaked through but it didn't! Easy enough to wash, I dried on low setting a couple of times as that waterproof material is a little shiny and I didn't want it to melt, I can't say it would do that but I decided to be cautious so I dried it with a couple of dry towels in there. Wish it didnt have so much flex in sides. Its great that it fits deep mattresses like mine, but i, like many others, have a mattress topper. It fits well over even the additional thickness, but because the sides are so stretchy it doesnt help keep the topper in place and lets the topper start to slide off the bed, which it doesnt do with a sheet, but i obviously want the protection. *note: ive had 4 different mattress toppers over years, and they all have stretchy sides, so its not unique to this brand. But aside from this, it is easy to wash, keeps out stains. It also feels nice and not plasticy or noticeable. ... show more

I have a mattress topper that has a zip-on cover which is not easy to remove, wash, and replace. I also have a rambunctious dog, so I put a mattress cover OVER the topper cover.
