  • Be careful with it, and it will last a long time
Color: Natural
These are incredibly comfortable. I slept in one every night for a couple of years. Hang it in a loose arc from supports 10-12 feet apart, fastened at 7-8 feet off the ground, and lay in it diagonally. This is the second one of these I bought. I got it for some friends as a house warming present. I still have my first one from over 6 years ago, and it only has one broken string that I tied back together. Someone else said that they have gone down in quality over the years. I disagree. It seems that they have gone to a lighter weight twine for the support strings on the ends, and slightly shortened them as well, but that hardly matters because you don't lay on that part of it. There are a few caveats: 1) You can't leave it outside 24/7/365, the cotton will deteriorate. 2) You have to be gentle: no shoes, careful of buttons and belt buckles. 3) Be careful not to tangle the support strings. When you take it down, twist them a bunch of times to make sure they don't get messed up. ... show more

  • Perfectly transportable ultimate comfort hammock
Color: Natural
I love this hammock, and recommend it to everyone. I bought kammock python straps and a couple of carabiners, and I keep those and the hammock in my office in a little duffel backpack (it folds up about the size of a rain jacket and doesn't get tangled). I am a PhD student and often have to do a lot of reading, so I'll load the articles on my kindle and take my hammock down to this convenient spot on campus, where I can throw it up in moments and be reading in the breeze in absolute comfort. Other students always come by to tell me they are jealous of it and ask what kind it is (most people have those dark-colored fabric hammocks, which look stuffy to me, especially when contrasted with this one). The attached photo was taken by a passerby touring the campus actually, who thought I looked so comfortable he had to stop (he then alerted me to get my permission and that's how I got the photo). My office mate and I will take breaks to go outdoors and lie in my hammock. It is perfect for two, or even three, people, and is perfectly comfortable width-wise or length-wise. One of my favorite things about it is the way you can use the support of the individual strings to your advantage; if you set your arm out to the side and shift your weight, the hammock actually creates arm/head rests, so you are never at an uncomfortable angle or left with too much/too little support. The strings are so close together that there are no gaps unless you intentionally make them; I imagine you could like on it naked and not have a pattern on your skin (have not tried this though). In addition, the way the sun streams through it is just beautiful. You will not regret buying it, and I personally think it makes a wonderful gift to others. ... show more

  • Big guy tested!
Color: Natural
OMG I love this Hammock. I camp a few times a year, and I am just too old to lay on the ground. Hammock camping has changed my life. I always regretted having to get in and out of the tent, because my knees hurt crawling and crouching around. Oh, did I mention that I am 6'6" nand 450lbs? Yeah, this is the better way to go if you are a big guy (or lady). I would definitely invest in a rain diverting mechanism for the ropes, but otherwise this hammock is comfortable and well constructed. I had one of those nylon hammocks for a while, and I thought it was great until I got in it with cargo shorts on. I was napping comfortably and "TUNG!" the stupid nylon ripped perfectly in the middle and I hit hard on the ground. I am lucky I didn't break my butt bones! It was a camp rousing disaster. They all thought I was dead! Anyway, I have no fear of a critical failure like that happening with this since it's just a big net. Can't wait to use it again this year. ... show more

  • Do Not Machine Wash - Even If Following Seller's Instructions
Color: Natural
The hammock initially seemed to be well-made and I like that it is a handmade product. It also is made of a very soft fiber that makes it very comfortable and cool to lay in. Unfortunately, the hammock I received smells strongly of smoke from a wood fire, which triggered my allergies. I then attempted to machine wash the product following the seller's wash instrutions. I loosly knotted the ends to avoid tangling of the lines and places it inside a pillow case. After removing it from the delicate cycle on my washing machine all of the lines were horribly knotted and the fibers had shrunk to varying lengths. It is now basically not usable and I will have to throw it out. A complete waste and I will now need to purchase a different hammock. UPDATE: TheGroupDeal kept their word and offered to refund or replace the purchase. I would definitely buy another product from them again. Maybe my experience with this hammock is an exception. ... show more

  • Great company- great hammock
Color: Natural
Update: so the company sent me another one at no cost and it has lasted the last 3 years. Amazing company and amazing product. These are the most comfortable hammocks and the company went above and beyond. Original recycled: Not the same hammock that I have ordered before. The 1st one I ordered 3 years ago was really wide and long. It got weathered so i ordered another one and it is no longer the same quality. So upset about it. I counted the strings and they are half of what they use to be. Crappy quality now. I wish I could get the same make I ordered 3 years ago.... Update... Thought I would give it a shot since customer care said the hammock is different now because they use acrylic string towards the loop because it is stronger. Well not so because it just shredded and I've had it less than a year. The old one lasted 3 years. So disappointed. Don't waste your money. ... show more

  • Perfect hammock time
Color: Natural
I read a ton of reviews trying to find the right hammock. There were so many great reviews for this one. I’m plus size and was nervous but it is great. It holds me up find and It feels very secure. It is far more comfortable than my previous hammock. I wish I could give you more stars. Also...I just leave mine outside. I noticed when it rained there was some discoloration. I am assuming the string had some off white dye that the cake off in a rainstorm. The dye water collected in the gathered areas and that is now darker. It’s nothing that will distract you or upset you when you are laying in the hammock. But some people are particular and I thought I would share it. ... show more
