Used it on heavy duck canvas and it worked well. Suggestions: take a picture of how the thread is threaded on the machine when you receive it… It ships already threaded. Read the instructions on how to sew, read the instructions on how to thread it. I have never sewn a day in my life, and yet I was able to sew a hem… I can do this anyone can do this, I promise. If for some reason, you have to re-thread the machine… Take your time don’t get aggravated. Yes it’s small. It’s not our normal size machine but it can be done easily enough. I bought the machine as a gift for my sister, so that if necessary, I could quickly and easily hem things. I also plan to take it on the road, because with a small child, it’s just a godsend for quickly repairing torn clothes. It can run on batteries or from the mains, which is very convenient.

    • Easy to use
I wanted this to hem my pants. Although it is very barebones, the quality was quite good considering the price. It was also easy enough for someone who has no experience sewing to handle. You can also run the machine with a usb c cable instead of using batteries, for more flexibility.
