I love what I call "camp gadgets": well-designed, small/collapsible/space-saving, lightweight gear for camping and other outdoorsy activities. And this is just a perfect camp gadget: an attractive, ultra-lightweight, folding, miniature handsaw for SMALL campfire tasks. Fabulous design. Wonderful aesthetic. Love the wood handles (all else equal, I much prefer natural materials to synthetics). NOTE: The metal is very thin and very flexible so THIS ISN'T THE SAW TO TACKLE LARGE BRANCHES WITH, NOR TO SAW VIGOROUSLY WITH OR TO PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON WHEN USING IT. Take care of yourself and take care of your little handy campsite handsaw and saw slowly and mindfully with due care on tasks appropriate to it's size. AND EVEN MORE OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT THE SAW TO DO WOODWORKING TASKS WITH. This is very clearly a camp gadget, not a saw for your wood shop. I can't believe some people bought this and tried to use it to straight-cut lumbered wood for a dresser or whatever, but reading some of the negative reviews, they did. I’ve been cutting a lot of custom stringers and bird mouths lately, I have a tough built version of this thing but it is huge and hard to keep on me, I wasn’t looking for this tool but it popped up and let me tell you.. size wise for doing what I do with it, it’s perfect! And it cuts pretty nicely as well, seems durable but I haven’t used it much to be honest. The greatest thing that made me write this review is the fact that I can pop it right in to my TB-30 toughbuilt utility pouch and it’s out of my way and within arms reach any time I need it.. I like small pouches with a select few items that I use consistently in them, the size and feel of this flush cut saw is a perfect addition to the style of tool carrying I like to do. I cut out sections of wood all the time and I don’t like over cutting with the skill saw so having this handy on my hip because of its size makes it perfect to pull out make that last couple inch cut in the corner and back into my pouch not to get lost a dream come true. ... show more

Japanese style made in China:-) The good its sharp and cuts wood fast. The downsides it flimsy (sheet metal thin) ,makes noise when folded if walking/stored in backpack and is off set a bit when in hand . The tool is decent for a "use every once in a while thing" or emergency tool. I hope this review helped. ... show more

The saw itself feels a little cheap, so I can't give five stars. But it's a good price and the handle is good quality, and the folding mechanism is nice and compact. There is a locking retainer ring to hold the handle pieces together in open and closed positions, which is good.
