It takes a lot to get me to write a review for endorsement so this heater is good thing! First, ye sit is more expensive on Amazon than Home Depot or Lowes but in the mist of COVID these are hard to come buy and Home Depot and Lowes have been sold out for months. SO I sucked it up and paid double the price! Well worth it! My husband and son easily assembled the heater, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS for turning on and using! I read several reviews and I think if people followed directions they would not have had the issues they were reporting wit the heater. I also purchased the Sweet Heat heat deflector and it works like magic! Totally deflect all the heat the direction you want and you can feel it from a good 5-10 feet away. We used it tonight 36Âş and I am always cold I sat next to the heater a couple feet away my husband was getting warm and sat a little further. Now we did have it turned up all the way bc I wanted to be warm, but how awesome to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and be warm! I am considering purchasing another one bc our deck is large and may want one on the other end. It does get hot, but duh, it is a propane heater it is going to get hot, common sense goes s along away when using these contraptions :) ... show more

    • Worth every penny, just what our family needs
I’d read several negative reviews and that caused us to wait until now to order. The delivery schedule was 12/1-12/7, it arrived today 11/29 and we where so excited! It took about 90 minutes to assemble, I’ve read some reviews that this is “refurbished” everything about this product read brand new and great quality as we unpacked it. It ignited on the first try and puts off a lot of heat. We’ve positioned it between our dining and lounge area on our deck as we screwed the base into the deck and are confident it will get us through the winter! ... show more

    • Sets Up Well, Plenty of Heat - Wish I Didn't Pay Double
Took my time and was able to put it together in a couple hours. Feels sturdy but you do need to be careful with the post so it doesn't bend and it would have been a real plus if it had wheels. To move it around I have to take out the propane tank. It's a nice looking device. If I could have gotten it from Home Depot I would have paid half. The price is currently $248 which is nearly $100 less than I paid. I get it though....people, restaurants and other businesses have been buying these like crazy due to covid and the need to spend more time outside so the laws of supply and demand were/are working against me. Due to covid and our youngest volunteering for brick and mortar teaching we needed a way to have weekly family dinners outside in the cold. We took two patio tables and have the heater in the middle of the tables and it gets toasty out there around the tables. A couple more feet away from the tables and it's too cold. We do have two walls providing some buffer from the wind which helps. We've had 6 dinners outside, spend about 2 hours for each and noticed that on the last dinner the propane was getting low and the heater wasn't able to keep up like before. Will be getting another tank for the next dinner and see if that causes the heater to heat as well as before. ... show more

    • Super Nice Patio Heater
We bought this to put on our back porch so we could use it during the winter. I can now sit out on the porch, smoke a cigar and watch football - all while staying warm. I did also purchase the Sweet Heat deflector to help focus the heat on areas I wanted to rather than heating the backyard ! The only negative (and this applies to all heaters) is that it goes through some propane. I can usually get about six to seven hours out of a FULL can of propane. I say FULL only because I have experienced less than full cans when exchanging rather than filling them. Just a note to watch out for that ! Heater was easy to put together and is built out of sturdy stainless steel material. If you are in the market for a patio heater I would definitely recommend this one. ... show more

Great purchase. We entertain outdoors with temperatures into the 50's with warmth and comfort. Easy to light and adjust warmth level. Took about 1 hour to assemble, but the directions are easy to follow and everything (including the proper wrench) is included. One thing to know....this heater does not have wheels so it must be lifted to place...it can't be rolled. If you are of minimum strength that could pose a problem if you want to vary its location. Would recommend also buying a cover so it can be kept in one place even if the elements are of concern. ... show more

This product fully drives home how Amazon actually works. Hi I was not shopping for a used product, because in my limited understanding of gas burning appliances it really doesn’t make sense to purchase an old heating element because there’s a really low probability that after time being exposed to the elements that the heating element will work properly. Lo and behold as soon as this product arrives and I start putting it together I look at the most important part which is the heating element and it is very old and used while the rest of the parts are brand new, and attempt to have some faith in being in a time crunch where I need this heater to work for the small gathering we’re about to have in our backyard… I’ve put it together and discover that it’s missing three really important screws, and then when it is finally all put together after about an hour and a half and the help of one of my friends, I turn it on and try to ignite the pilot only to discover that it doesn’t work and the gas does not flow, I don’t know exactly why but I can only imagine it sounds like I do with it being old and rusted. I wish that used products would not be sold in the same link as brand new products, feels like a bait and switch and Considering that I paid a marked up premium for the product it’s really unfortunate that it wasn’t new and I feel like I was taken advantage of. Buyer beware, read all the fine print and don’t worry if you spend a couple hours putting together a faulty product you can get a refund by disassembling repackaging and reshipping that same faulty product back to Amazon… SMH ... show more
