    • Better then glass.
If you have an expensive aquascape, then you're probably a detail orientated person. You probaly hate the way your co2 tubing runs over the top edge of your rimless tank. Clean lines distract less from our beautiful scapes after all. You've probably been eyeing at those fancy glass u-bends for your co2 tubing as well. STOP HERE... buy this stainless steel one instead. Does glass look nice in our scapes? -- Yes, it does. Is it the most practical? -- No, not really. Glass breaks pretty easily. Anyone whose broken a lily pipe or diffuser while performing maintenance knows this. I personally run the more rigid GLA co2 resistant tubing (not airline or silicone tubing) on my tank. This type of co2 tubing is a lot harder and way less flexible -- as a byproduct it also hates being connected to anything. I can't even imagine trying to force my tubing onto a glass u-bend without breaking it in the process. Make sure you boil some water to warm up your tubing before you try sliding it on over the bend -- it'll still take quite a bit of effort, but you should be good. The suction cups are and check valves are solid too. :) ... show more

    • Exactly what I wanted
I got this for the two U-shaped tubes because I wanted to neaten-up the back of my small tank. I have a standard 10-gallon tank with a regular 5/8" (17mm) stepped rim to accommodate a glass top with a plastic piece on the back for tubing and an OTB filter. I already had check valves. The U tubes worked perfectly. I would recommend warming new tubing up and wetting it with hot water before trying to slip it on these pipes. The good news is, once they are on, they are NOT coming off. Made everything nice and neat. Perfect. I used one of the suction cups to neaten up and secure an air line for an air stone. Been over a month and it's still sticking, so, good job! And I have some spare parts to add to my air system baggie! Again, perfect! ... show more

Equipment works very well in my aquarium. Allowed for a rigid anchoring over the top rim and eliminated a sloppy flopping round air line. The check valves valve works flawlessly and can withstand a good deal of pressure. I have no worries incase of a power shortage. Don’t have to worry about the aquarium having a back siphoning through the air line in the case of a power shortage or a faulty air pump. ... show more
