  • Exceeded Expecatations!

For under $230, you are getting a very nice new clear product that really transforms the front of the vehicle, especially if you been riding w/ cloudy lights for a while. Yeah, its a little "gappy" on the install between front panel's, but was fine. Hope the pics show the gaps enough, but not biggie for me. Its a 17 yr old family vehicle. ;o) Reason for 5 star instead of 4 is because it said it didn't include bulbs in the description and I bought a bunch of bulbs totaling almost $50 bucks more. Each headlight came w/ 3 different bulbs included, already connected. Don't futz w/ them. Finally solved our many year old problem of low light issues w/ the mazda. bad bulbs and making proper adjustments to ensure light was aligned to the same ground clearance and bulb height at 25 ft. pretty easy to see when light up against a garage door head on. Most garages are around 24 or 25 ft deep and can see where the light lines up on the wall when parked right outside the garage w/ lights on. Simple screwdriver adjustments and my son says its like a new car! Thank you!! ... show more

  • Plug and play on 2008 Mazda6 that originally came with HID assemblies and bumper-mounted fog lights
Size: Headlight Pair Set
I have been meaning to purchase these units specifically for my GG Mazda6 sedan for a while. I finally committed to it and I am happy with my decision. The previous owner had installed LED bulbs in the HID units. Whoever did the job, butchered the wiring, cut the cables to the igniters, removed the D2S sockets and the ballasts. These wiring modifications ruined the assemblies themselves beyond repair. My Mazda has the "luxury bumper", which means bumper-mounted fog lights instead of the headlight-integrated fog lights for other trim levels (my original assemblies had dummy aluminum caps instead). These halogen units came with every light bulb included (low beam, high beam, parking and turn signal) and had the proyector for the integrated fog lights. These sockets were empty, so I purchased a pair of H3 bulbs and installed them to test if they really worked. By design, the GG Mazda6 is a bit cumbersome to work with, requiring you to remove the bumper, even for something as simple a headlight bulb replacement. I thought I would have issues plugging the headlights themselves to my car’s wire harness, given the differences in assemblies with the HIDs and the fog lights, but it was a straight forward plug and play job. I can confirm all the fog lights 4 fog lights available to me, which is an unexpected delight. I was able to align the headlights for both low and high beams as best I could, but the alignment mechanism appears to be a bit delicate and prone to strip the gears/mechanisms within. It is also noteworthy that the headlight-integrated fog lights have do not appear to have an aiming mechanism and at a distance it looks like they can cause as much glare as high beams to oncoming traffic. That may be result of the 100W H3 bulbs I got installed, so I will be only using the fog lights when there is no other traffic around and pitch dark conditions. Otherwise, I have not had such confidence while driving at night, these headlights are fantastic! In the coming days, I will have a detailer shop install a protective transparent PPF/UV film to prevent degradation and opaqueness in the future, since the lenses on this generation Mazda6 are made of polycarbonate and have the tendency to do so in a short amount of time. ... show more

  • Pretty good for the price
Size: Headlight Pair Set
These headlights are pretty good. They don't exactly fit, all the bolts went on half-decent but the little plastic clip at the top back corner wouldn't go in, so I left those off. Also, these lights seem to have a light cut-off at the top like you would see with an HID housing even though these are for halogen bulbs. I adjusted the leveling all the way upward but the light still drops off just several feet in front of the car. The driver side lens either isn't completely sealed or had moisture in it already, as there's a bit of condensation that forms inside the housing in certain weather conditions. ... show more
