Works as a perfect replacement for my 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. A nice and bright light that covers the passenger side ditch as well as a good distance down the road. I did not use the DRL or turn signal function that is incorporated into this system.

Got the lights today. The construction is very nicely done. They're quite heavy with good heat sinks in the back all metal construction. Standard connector of good quality, they have two extra connectors both of which are positive inputs One is for daytime running light the other is for return signal option if you want. They are DOT certified according to the documentation and it says it right on the housing. These are going in a YJ Jeep Wrangler. If you have one of these this is definitely a great upgrade from stock headlights or any of the junk aftermarket stuff. These lights are not that expensive but the light pattern is really well controlled. It's very bright. I was a little concerned when I saw 6,000k temperature on the box usually that makes it it a nasty purple color. But these are a nice pure white. The low beams have a nice sharp cut off with a little raised section, and the high beams really throw out far. Interestingly when the high beam goes on the low beams stay on also which is not the normal aberration for an H4 bulb. But that definitely helps cover the close stuff and the far stuff. And they overlap nicely with just a very very tiny section that's slightly shadowed. You can see it in the second photograph there. I actually raised the lights a little bit more after this photo was taken. I dropped them a bit when I first put them in because they looked a little high on the side of my garage. But once I started driving around I realized that the light cut off was probably two or three inches below the trunk level of most cars even when I'm parked right behind them. So I wasn't blinding anybody in their rear view mirror or side mirrors. So I raised them up a little bit when I got home and after these photos were taken. Definitely recommend these if you have anything with this type of headlight. If it was used in all the YJ Jeeps. And some newer Chevy cargo vans still use this style of headlight and it would be a really good upgrade for any sealed beam that you're currently running. I have a set like these in my 2005 379 Peterbuilt ( they are a set of 4. 2 low Beam and 2 high beam.) Have been in the big truck for a year now. No issues with them. Absolutely love them!!! So I found these for my 83 Ford pickup. They are bright and shine out wide.( about 20 yards past the shoulder on both sides of the road.) Easy to install, directions are simple to hook up turn signals and day time running lamps if you want them. I recommend these. ... show more

I got these to replace the dim halogen headlights on my 1996 Corvette. They were easy to install and are plug and play replacements, and they fit perfectly. They are much brighter than stock and cast a white light compared to the stock yellow hue, and they have a much wider beam spread that lets you see more of the road. I decided not to get the resister for these so they do make the high beam icon stay lit on the dash, which doesn't really bother me. My fog lights do still work with the low beams unless I cycle from lows to brights and back while driving, but after I shut off the car they reset themselves so the fog lights work with the lows again the next time I drive the car. I don't feel the need to use the brights anyway, because the lows are plenty bright. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These headlights work really well, give great light coverage, but do not blind oncoming drivers. The install was plug and play took about 15 minutes for the first light, about 5 minutes for the second once I knew what was going on. Tested by driving around for a while in the evening. Was impressed with the light coverage. Magnitudes better than stock. When I installed the new lights I did not mess with the headlight adjustment at all. So far no one has flashed me to let me know they are too bright. In the pics and video: First Pic can see the color difference between stock and the new headlight. Second Pic can see both new headlights installed. Video shows how well these light the road and none of the oncoming traffic flashed for being too bright. Have only had for about a week so cannot comment on longevity. If something happens I'll amend the review. ... show more
