These were my second attempt at wall mounted lights. The first was non adjustable and couldn’t handle their own weight. I’m using Amazon Choice wifi lightbulbs and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Look, these are budget lights, so they don’t adjust with zero effort, but I have played with where I want them and likely will not move them much. I will warn that when extended away from the wall, there is a little flex in where they are bolted to the main cover. It would be nice if they’d made that a little stronger anchor point. My one gripe is that when I removed the cords (which was not very easy to do) I am left with a very visible hole in the bottom of each wall mount that currently still has the plastic grommet from the cord. I plan to to go ACE Hardware and see if there is some kind of plug I can put in to make it fade out of view. For now I have to just put up with it. Overall, in adding shiplap to the wall and these fixtures plus the lightbulbs I completely transformed my office into a much higher end looking space for about $250. Not bad at all! ... show more

Great lights and such a great value. I love the way they look. I’m removing one star because they arrived missing the mounting plates. Thankfully my husband got creative and found a way to mount it without but was mildly disappointed because they’re a little wobbly on the wall.

I will admit I was skeptical when I placed my order. Upon arrival and much to my surprise they are quality. They are much lighter than other wall lamps. The joints to adjust the swing arm are made of plastic not metal like the rest of the lamp, but you would never know, especially if you have them mounted up high on a wall. These are comparable to other wall lamps at the price of $200+ ea. I especially like that the lining of the shade is white (which is difficult to find especially at this price point) because it elevates the lamp and gives of a really clean modern/industrial /industrial farmhouse look. I also had the wall lamps hard wired and added a dimmer switch but they can be used as a plug in. Amazing look and quality for the price ! ... show more

    • Does Not "Swing"; Cords Need to be Longer

I installed these on either side of a full size bed. Each nightstand next to the bed has an outlet behind it. First one needs to install the lamps over each side of the bed because they do not rotate from side to side; they do extend out though. I installed these about five feet up, so they would clear the head board. I used cord covers to cover the unsightly black cords, which worked well. The challenge is they made the cords too short to reach the outlets (by inches, which makes it seem silly to use extension cords). Amazon does carry 1 foot extension cords, but that just added $7 to the cost of each lamp. It would have been so much more cost effective to just add a foot to the length of the lamp cord. We prefer overhead lighting to table lamps when we read in bed. These were an inexpensive and user friendly option for us and we are thrilled with how beautiful they look. Most wall mounted lights need to be hard wired to your electrical system. These just plug into an existing outlet! Very easy! I thought that mounting them would be very difficult as well, really they weren't much to get up. I do recommend following the directions as they come. We used the molly's to make them solid which you will want to do especially if you plan on adjust the arms on the light. I think we used maybe 2 tools total in the entire process. Anyone can do this. The real beauty of these is the look. They are a nice black with a matte finish. The inside is bright white and gives off great light. It is a '2 click' high/low setting. You can use a two setting bulb. Though if you go beyond that, it will blow the bulb. To adjust the height you can unscrew two fancy wing nuts and bring it where you need it. To be honest, I just leave them where they are as it isn't the easiest in the world to adjust. That should deter you from buying these though. I love this set of lights. Incredibly affordable and look quite fancy. If you are considering this type of lighting, this set is a great place to start. ... show more

These are beautiful! I bought these to add more light in my bedroom since we do not have an overhead light and we rent an apartment. They are really good value for the money. It’s very convenient that they have a power cord and can be turned on and off at the base of the light. I had trouble with the installation, but that was because my walls are concrete. I was only able to get one of the screws in and they are still really sturdy because the sconces are so light weight. I’m very happy with this purchase! ... show more

These are a great value for the money. Easy to mount and can be mounted with or without the cord. The small knob under the arm turns the lamp on and off. It took me only about 10 min to hang it completely flush on the wall, and I’m literally the worst at hanging anything. These look more expensive in person and can be adjusted in multiple locations. They are mainly metal very little plastic. Would recommend an extension cord and a cord cover if you plan to mount this and use the plug. The cord was a little short and couldn’t reach the plugs in our room but the distance wasn’t too far so that was a surprise. ... show more

Idk why sheerness is even an option. Its a metal lamp. Metal shade. It's not sheer or supposed to be. They were super easy to install wither as a plugged in lamp or on a box. One did not have the safety wire and screw. They look great and with a 60w bulb make a soft, small reading light for the bedside. The metal shade keeps it from lighting up the whole room and concentrates the light in a small area. The quality is pretty low. The arms will strip out easily with regular daily use. Metal is pretty cheap feeling. They do not swing side to side. Only up and down. Do not put these somewhere that you will want to use the movement regularly!
