I needed new drapes with insulation and these fit the bill. They seem to help hold the heat in when it's chilly outside. The blackout is also a plus since I have mostly windows in my living/dining area. I washed one set leaving them slightly damp and hung them up, hoping the wrinkles would go away. No such luck, so with the other sets, I washed, dried at low heat, then steam ironed as recommended. A little more work, but better results. The factory creases are harder to iron out. Overall, these are good drapes and worth the money. Will be purchasing more. Well made, hems and stitching are nice with no threads hanging out. Grommets make hanging a snap. ... show more

Received these today and put them up directly out of the packaging. Prompt delivery and packaged well. These are slightly heavier than I expected but still thin. They are wrinkled as the photos show, because they are straight out of the box. I would imagine if I chose to pop them in the dryer on low for a few minutes they'd be less wrinkled, but I did not. Too excited! They are thin but do have a white backing on them that is both thermal and light blocking. During the daylight I did close the curtains and it made a significant difference. I probably could sleep with them closed during the day without the blinds down behind them. With the blinds, it was dark as dusk. Tonight I have them up and the streetlights are not coming through them. I'm calling them fantastic :) The thermal part I really can't say much about. Partly because they are brand new and partly because we have new windows that are efficient. I'm not sure that they'd knock down much of a draft but I'd also say that they are better than nothing. I'm neutral on this part. The sage green color I purchased has a linen look with the faint black lines to achieve this look. It isn't anything striped or overly lined, just to give the look. Very classy. They do look more expensive than they cost. Which, btw, was very reasonable. The grommets are silver which pairs well with any silver or brushed nickel you may have already in the home. Stitching is nice and the hemlines are straight. No complaints there. Overall, I love them. They are a nice color with the linen look, thick enough to hang well, backing for light blocking and maybe some thermal quality too. I love that these curtains are not bulky but provide blackout protection and help reduce noise. They fold back neatly when open and look more expensive than they are. Great value. I bought them for 2 patio sliders in Pure White, 2 panels per door. I do wish they offered more colors/patterns. Arrived very wrinkled, as most curtains do - you will definitely need to launder or use a steamer. ... show more

I really like these curtains, the sage color is nice. Sizing and quality are very good and consistent. The fabric is not heavy, and sports a printed linen design that is really nice and realistic. The backing is a soft to the touch white material that’s pleasing from the outside. As expected, The curtains were wrinkled after opening, but I tossed in washer and dryer and then worked on the more persistent creases with a steam iron…didn’t take too long to get them into shape..and I’m not a fan of ironing, but this was a quick job with a good stream iron. I hung these in the spare bedroom, my niece is very happy to have more than just the blinds for privacy. They do seem to help in keeping the room a bit warmer, and perhaps a bit quieter. These are advertised as blackout curtains and they do more than an adequate job at blocking light, for my situation. I wasn’t looking for complete blackout, just wanted them to offer good privacy. The 3rd photo was taken at 8:15AM, with the hall light on so the photo wouldn’t be too grainy, to give you a sense of how the blackout feature of these curtains work, should that be a critical feature for you. Overall I highly highly recommend these curtains! I like them so much I ordered another set for the computer room. Hope this review helps you! Oh, by the way…I did add 2.5” wide curtain spacers on the rod between the grommets to make the pleats hold a full look, don’t like a flat, floppy, lifeless curtain (last photo). ... show more

We have lived here for close to 40 years, and I have bought blackout curtains before, but these are the best I’ve ever found. We have a west facing sliding door and usually you can see shadows through the curtain. Not with these! I just hung them, it’s a bright sunny day, and no light is getting into my dining room at all, except for the top of the curtain, which cannot be helped with any curtains. My dining room was actually almost dark at 4 in the afternoon. They were wrinkled out of the package which can’t be helped, and had a very slight smell from the factory, so I popped them in the washer on gentle cycle with cold water and dried them till just damp and hung them up that way. That was much easier than ironing them, which is what I saw most people did in the reviews. It’s 6 hours later, the smell is gone, and they look great! I also bought them for my east facing living room, which is very bright on summer mornings, and I can’t wait till tomorrow to hang them! They are very well made with straight seems and the backing held up very well after being washed. They seem like they will last. They colors are beautiful, I bought the sage and the glacier gray and love them both. The sage is perfect in my dining room. A very tasteful and soft muted green. I love sage but I’m very picky about how green it can be. This is a perfect Sage. The glacier gray looks like it will be perfect I my living room. Very clean and simple drapes that are super easy to hang. I thought the price was great too. Two windows and a sliding glass door for about a hundred dollars is a very good deal for this quality. I have bought a lot of curtains over the years as my tastes change and having children and cats is very hard on drapes. I’m very pleased with these and hope I can find the same brand again in a few years when I need to. These are awesome for the price and I would definitely buy them again! ... show more
