I have a high-back office chair that is abour 10 years old. The mechanics of the chair are great, BUT...the chair is ripped at the seat, at the back, and on the arms. Every day I would find little bits of leather-look plastic on the floor. I purchase these black covers. It took maybe 15 minutes to fit. And I have had them for about a month now. The chair looks like new! The arms look like new, All the old plastic is covered up and contained. I was ready to throw this chair out. But now I can keep it for much less than a new chair. If this cover goes in a couple of years, I will simply take it off and purchase a new cover. ... show more

We had an office chair that was oversized for a large man that the vinyl had been shedding for about a year. We were looking for a solution to contain the vinyl as the chair itself (except the vinyl covering) is still in great shape. I tried the size large after measuring. It was a tight stretch to get the second zipper started, but with my husband's help our four hands got it done. I think it looks great and it is an excellent price to salvage the chair. Like many other reviewers I do think this cover works great in helping to "revitalize" your worn comfortable office chairs and will help put off buying a new chair. I even chose black so that it won't clash on any WebEx meetings he will have. All that said I highly suggest people be aware of two things: fit and longevity. As the description points out the dimensions of the chairs that it will fit as given and I highly recommend that you all take that into consideration. My husband has one of those big and tall large size over stuffed chairs and this really is stretching the limits of the cover. I knew that going in given the dimensions and the thickness of his chair that it would be at the extremes and I did get it on and it probably took longer than a standard size office chair. So especially for those of you who have the big and tall broad size chairs you might want to measure . As for longevity, the material of this reminds me of a medium weight t-shirt and I can foresee that it will be stretched with constant use. The other thing that slightly concerns me is that while the bottom is like sheets surrounded by elastic, I find that the elasticity of the elastic does give way within a year or more. So I would not expect this item to stay put on the chair as that elastic eventually does give away. It would be nice if there was an additional way of attachment underneath. I know I did that with our sheets and the newest sheets that we bought all have the extra straps on the corner to help keep the corners in place. It would be nice if something similar was on this cover, but at the price I cannot complain nor did I see any competitor offer something similar. ... show more
