We purchased this for our kids two Christmases ago and it is still holding up beautifully. They were 6 and 3 at time of purchase. Now at 8 and 5 they still love it, their friends love it, and to be honest, my husband and I have hopped on it here and there, and we love it too! We tried our best to keep it from rain exposure, but eventually it had to weather some storms when we forgot or got lazy, but we've not dealt with any rust or any of the seat rotting that was mentioned in some reviews. The only "damage" we've seen occurred early on-they pin to lock it in place hangs by a wirey-type cord and the cord broke almost immediately and we lost track of the pin. No biggie though, it's not vital to us to have it locked in place. This thing has been a hit for us and has proven to be very, very well made. Definitely recommend! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Very sturdy, heavy duty! It was so easy to put together with a wrench and Allen wrench. 300lb weight limit! We used sand bags so we didn’t have to drill into the turf.

I posted a review for another Gym Dandy item (the pendulum style teeter totter) because my son absolutely loved it and it was very well made for the price (I also posted some tips on performance mods). After much consideration I broke down and purchased this one too and I'm glad I did. This thing is crazy fun and regardless of its rating it is probably much stronger than stated in the specifications. That said, this product should provide years of use since kids can use it until they get tired of using it. I'm pretty sure they will outgrow it mentally before physically unless of course they never grow up like myself. A few thoughts. I saw one bad review saying it is dangerous. Indeed this is not for infants or small toddlers. This is a toy for active children who can use some common sense. Adult supervision until they use sound judgment wouldn't hurt either. You may get a scraped knee or a few bumps from this but that doesn't justify a bad review. You wouldn't send a 2-3 year old down a double black diamond on skis either but that doesn't mean you give a pair of skis a bad review. This is a great product and will get kids out of the house having fun. Now for some tips. I'm 200 pounds and my wife is 130 pounds and she gets on one side with my 35 pound son and it takes us all no problem. Your results may vary and use judgment but I'm just saying that to demonstrate its strength. If you want you can tie a bag of sand or weight on one side and spin a child on one side to dampen the teeter totter action. You can also insert something to stop the teeter totter action and just get merry go round action. If you have a strong stomach you can get this thing spinning so quickly you will feel queasy. UPDATE: We've had this for almost a year now and it's still one of their favorites in the yard! One of the seat cover backs has ripped, but no other damage and we leave it out year round in the rain. We just had my son's birthday party and this was a big hit with all of the kids. I read so many reviews about this and other spinning teeter totters before deciding on this one, and I'm so glad we chose it! Very sturdy - our boys are big for their ages (7 & 8, both over 70 pounds), and this teeter totter can handle them without issue. I can get one side and they ride together on the other. This is the first thing they go to in our backyard, and they stay on it (off an on) for hours when they're playing outside. I read some reviews regarding the seats bleeding onto clothes and deteriorating after a while, but we have not seen either issue (we've had the totter for only about seven weeks). The seats we have appear to be a hard foam on the inside that does not absorb water, and the red material covering them seems to be waterproof. We've had more than expected rain this year in our area of Florida, and even when the boys go out a short while after it stops raining the seats are dry. The boys have said the seats on this totter are much more comfortable than a comparable totter that their friends have. ... show more

My kids and their friends have enjoyed this teeter totter for many years. I took away one star though for the seats. After the first year they really starting wearing down. As you can see from the pictures, there is no cushion left, so no one will get on anymore because it’s so uncomfortable. I only wish this company would offer replacement seats. ... show more

I purchased this combination seesaw/merry go round for my two boys Christmas of 2019 who were 6 and 7 at the time. It has been one of the best additions to our backyard. My husband and I call it "space training" because my boys like to see how fast they can spin. HOURS of fun for them and they still love it a year later. It has been stored outside in grass for one year in a humid climate. I can find no rust except in one place where the paint finish was damaged. The black fabric that is on the back of each seat cushion is the only part of the product that did not stand the test of time. It rotted away quickly but the red fabric that actually covers the seats stayed in place and is in good condition. This playground equipment was definitely worth it for our family. ... show more
