It feels super heavy duty and not flimsy at all. It took less than 10 min to completely assemble. We full charged it and it was a smooth ride! We have definitely recommended to friends and family already! It’s easy to fold and has a lasting charge. Super sleek and easy to store.

The media could not be loaded. My husband is having as much fun as a kid on his new electric Hoverfly! It was easy to assemble, came well packaged, and all parts were perfect. You plug it in to charge, turn the power on, push a couple times with your feet, and it takes off. The brakes work well, the standing board is wide and stable, and overall it’s just very sturdy. It also has extra features, such as a power and speed gauge, a headlight, and a kickstand, plus it folds conveniently for storage. It really does fly, so bike helmet advised. I don't know yet how long a full charge lasts but my son and I have been riding it around the neighborhood for a couple of days. It's very sturdy and seems to be well built. We bought two to ride around our neighborhood and had a blast. Super easy to assemble and a very quick start. Battery didn’t even go down after riding it at full speed for 10 min. I’m 5’6 and bf is 6’1 and we both had no issues with the size! It picks up speed fast and it’s heavy duty!

This scooter provides a no fuss reliable ride for those who are 13 and up looking for an entry level electric scooter. It does a great job of providing durability while keeping the weight reasonable. It has a large 18" x 16.5" platform providing plenty of room for your feet. The upgraded 10" tires offer a smoother and safer ride on roads and trails. Pulling the brake lever flashes the rear tail light. This looks nearly identical to the Gotrax XR Elite E Scooter, which has a good name when it comes to electric scooters, so I would expect the same from this. My 13 year old daughter is loving it. I like it because it is compact, didn't break the bank, is well built and goes fast but not skull crushing fast like the higher end scooters. ... show more

I have a Gotrax GXL scooter in my collection that is a nice little toy for me and the kids. I saw this Hoverfly GXL and it looked an awfully lot like my Gotrax. After trying this one out, I actually think they're made by the same company. The decals on the stem and the plastic deck covers both list their respective companies names. The differences pretty much end there. The Hoverfly's connectors seemed a little beefier during assembly, but don't seem to have any impact on use or performance. And the Hoverfly's headlight button seems easier to turn on for some reason. Other than that.... speed, acceleration, range, handling. One is just like the other. And I really like the other! I got this scooter for my college daughter. She informed me that they're all the rage to get to and from classes, especially on a large campus where you only have a small gap between classes. She says that this scooter has been great. It's quick, easy to use, and collapses small enough for her to bring into class with her.
