In another review I wrote about buying a fake plastic hawk named Huxley, I reported that my wife and I don't have AC in our bedroom. I won't go into why that is here in this review. Just know that we don't have an air conditioner in the bedroom. But this summer was super hot so she asked if I could install an AC unit on the parlor floor of our brownstone. Being the hotshot that I am, I leapt at the chance to show her how easy that would be. "The only problem is that there is a big open wall that leads to our stairs, babe." I call her babe a lot. I think this annoys the kids. Not sure how she feels about it. "Well, could we put some curtains there for the summer and sort of trap the cool air in?" I wanted to get this done for her so I said I'd figure something out. After I installed this awesome AC in the window, I went onto Amazon to look for some curtains. I needed long curtains because this floor of our house has very high ceilings. Luckily I stumbled onto the Guken Natural Linen Curtains. They were the perfect length even if they didn't black out the light. Again, the only thing we needed them to do was to help trap the cold air in this room. I was a bit dubious that linen curtains could do that, but to my surprise, they worked like a charm. The only thing I would warn folks about is that my 16 year old would absentmindedly pull on the curtains from time to time. He accidentally pulled them down once or twice. These are really nice quality for the price. The right amount of sheer to allow light in but also some privacy when needed. Honestly love this color and they’re soft! Looks great with my blinds and I paired them with another set of white sheer curtains from another seller.
