This worked out wonderfully for camping in the wetlands of south Florida! Sleeping off the ground really helped eliminate the bug factor. Mosquitoes were at a minimum being up off the grass and we weren’t joined by any other critters or creepy crawlers either. The weather was rainy and in the 60s for majority of this trip, the rain guard did well for any unwanted water intrusion, but like any tent, you don’t want anything pressed against the tent fabric as water will be absorbed that way. The rain guard comes over the side windows completely so you can leave with just the screen up and still get airflow. I do wish the rain guard came down a little further so it would meet the outside edge of the bed. Because it stopped short, it drips the water down the inside edges of the bed and will fill it with water so be sure to park at an incline for proper draining. I will be bringing a pop up canopy the next time I take this out to go over the tent and truck bed itself to completely eliminate any moisture getting in from rain. The tent kept us warm in the cooler temperatures, that dropped to the 50s at night, we used a light top sheet over us for warmth and that was plenty. It feels roomy inside, at no point felt like the walls were closing in or anything like that. You can easily sit up and move about even with an air mattress. Really easy to setup and disassemble, about 10-15 minutes each time. I would also recommend bringing a step stool of sorts to easily get in and out of the truck bed. I will be bringing a pad for my knees as well to go on the tailgate to make it even more comfortable to climb in and out of the tent. I also purchased a rechargeable fan that I hooked on the inside center pole cross section and it worked wonderfully for inside air circulation. ... show more

I wasn't sure how this would fit on my truck based on most of the reviews being for short bed trucks. I have an 8 foot long bed and this tent went right to the tail gate. It worked out perfectly in my opinion because I was able to close the tailgate to secure the entrance both from the outside when I was away hiking and from the inside when I was sleeping. It felt very secure with the truck bed walls and locked gate surrounding the base of the tent. Full size innerspring mattress made it as comfortable as my bed at home, an air mattress would be more realistic tho if you don't have space to store a full size mattress when not using, but you definitely want some sort of mattress to sleep comfortably. Assembled on the ground in about 5 mins, lifted with 2 people onto truck bed. 2 people seemed necessary as it's quite flimsy before strapped to the truck, didn't want to lift alone, twist the material and possibly rip a seam. Strapped securely to truck side panels with cushioned straps that prevent scratching, another 5 mins. Also comes with separate rain cover that drapes over the tent and buckles into the tent buckels. Disassembled easily and packed into provideded canvas bag, no damages were noted during use, plan to use it again soon. Good truck-bed tent at a great price, purchased at $89.99 ... show more

Haven't had a chance to use this for camping just yet, but I did give it a trial run, assembly and fit check to see how well it fits in my '02 Silverado. It assembles fairly easily...about like any small tent. It is very lightweight, so it's best assembled on the ground then placed into the truck bed. All the straps seem to be decent although I'd be careful not to cinch them down too tight...just snug to take out the slack. It doesn't quite fit the floor of the truck bed perfectly, but I think it will be fine. Zippers, poles, and rain flap seem to be decent. The material of the tent isn't very thick, so I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up. I'll update this review after I've taken it camping in a few weeks. ... show more

2017 ford f-150 6.5 bed. Great tent. First use was mountains of Colorado high altitude during very strong winds and storms. Held up perfect and kept us dry. Definitely recommend setting it up at least once first before using just to get a feel for how it goes. Gonna be using this tent a lot more as it’s so much better than sleeping on ground. The price is awesome and the tent is great so far after one use in very bad weather. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This was an adventure of a weekend! Tent was amazing overall! We parked our truck alongside the beach at night & drove with the tent on (45-50mph) during the day. Assembling the tent was fairly easy since there was two of us, except we missed the tailgate straps so the first night the entire tent door was down. Make sure you strap the tailgate straps; once you have the rods in place, before tightening the straps on the sides of your truck! It got pretty humid so the inside of the tent started getting wet, but water wouldn't come off the 'ceiling' unless we touched it. Otherwise, we went through the night completely dry. We did eventually spill the water out of our cooler inside the tent & the waterproof floor held up really well! Things got really windy on the beach but the tent held up, other than being tilted just a bit to the side. Quality of the tent was great! I was afraid the rods would be coming apart after all the wind & driving, but they didn't! The zipper mesh windows on the inside were great. Zipped up, it held all the warmth very well. Unzipped, it allowed air to flow in easily, even with the rain fly on. Honestly, there is very little difference between this tent & another that costs $150-300. Save the money, get this tent & you won't regret it! ... show more
